SINCE HIS DIVORCE, DAVINA had stepped up, helping Antonio around the house. She didn't have much to do at home, so whenever she could, she would drive over to his house to see what she could do to help.

"You know, you didn't have to come over." Antonio told her as they dried dishes in his kitchen.

"I know." She nodded, putting the plate on the counter, "I wanted to."

"Well, thank you for coming." He smiled.

"It's fine, really. I think Erin and Nadia are happy I'm getting out." She told him.

"Are they?"

"When I was job searching, I'd mainly stay at home, eat nachos and watch Game of Thrones." She set down another plate.

"It's a good show." He agreed.

"That's what I told them, but they told me I had to get out and interact, so I'm getting out, and I'm interacting." She shrugged. The two of them fell into a silence, a comfortable silence, but still a silence nonetheless.

"Davina..." He called her name, and she looked up, "How'd you get into, you know..." He trailed off. She got the message.

"Prostitution?" She asked, and he nodded, "You don't have to beat around the bush. I know if we were in opposite positions, I'd be curious too." She leaned against the counter, "My mom had just passed away, I got hooked on drugs. Needed money to feed the addiction. Met a guy, said he'd pay for the drugs if I helped him out."

"He sold you." Antonio put two and two together.

"Yeah. I was in too deep, though. I was addicted to drugs. My dad was gone all the time. The only people I had were him and Nadia. Nadia was in the same boat as me. Addicted and out working. It's the only thing I knew how to do." She explained.

"What happened after that?" He asked.

"Then you found me. You came around asking questions about Masters and the whole situation. Erin helped me and Nadia, and here we are." She shrugged.

"I'm proud of you." He smiled.

"Thank you." She smiled, looking away shyly. She looked at the clock on the microwave, "I should get doing." She started to walk towards the door.

"Do you need a ride home or anything?" Antonio offered.

"I was just gonna call an Uber or something." Davina shrugged her jacket on.

"No, it's fine. I'll drive you home." He reached for his keys.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"I insist. You helped cook and clean. It's only fair." He smiled.
