EMMA CAMERON HAD PUT in her transfer papers with the hopes of getting into Hank Voight's infamous intelligence unit. She had applied for the academy a few months after college, already knowing that was what she wanted to do. She worked her butt off, and became one of the most successful detectives in the gang unit, Voght would've had to be stupid to not approve her papers.
Her upbringing wasn't anything too special. Her mother and father gave her and her brother the best life they could, and that was all they could've ever asked for. She just wanted to do something to make them proud.
So after college, she signed up for the academy and moved the heck out of her hometown. After working her way up from the bottom, she finally made it to the top. She was one of the best detectives in the city's gang unit. She was also the only woman in her unit.
