In Wolves of the Beyond, there is a a Masked Owl named Gwynneth who looks after Faolan for a while. She is connected to Guardians of Ga'Hoole series by the fact that she is the daughter of Gwyndor, a blacksmith who lived in The Beyond and was friends with King Coryn. She is named after he mother, who sadly died before her daughter hatched, and wanted to nickname her Gwynnie.
I love both of the names Gwynneth and Gwynnie, I think they are such cool names for a girl or owl and I wouldn't mind being one of them myself!
