It was the next day, and I was chilling in my bed, around 11:15 am, messing with my phone for the past hour. Surprisingly my parents didn't get mad at me for not coming home earlier, I was expecting to be yelled at to be honest. I just told them I was at a study group, which was partly true.
Suddenly I got a beep from my phone. I checked my phone, it was a text message from a random number.
"Hey, it's George wanna meet up later to finish our homework and study together?"
My face lit up, "Yeah, what time?" I texted back
"Is 12:00 okay?"
"Awesome, where do you wanna meet up?" I got up out of my bed to actually get my day started, eyes still glued to my phone.
George's POV
I paced around my room, trying to think of a place for us to study. "Uhhhh...where to go where to go," I started panicking. I thought for a bit, "Whatever, the park is fine" I settled down.
"The park?" I texted, biting my thumbnail in agitation.
"Yeah that's cool,"
"YESSS!" I patted myself on the back then started getting ready. Wait, why am I so excited?
Y/N POV
I grinned excitedly at my phone. "Wait, wait, wait, what am I doing? This is literally just studying, why am I acting like this." I calmed down.
Once I finished brushing my teeth I picked out a basic outfit, a pleaded skirt and a collared shirt under an old sweatshirt. I checked the time, it was 11:40.
I put on a tote bag with the homework and things I needed to study in it and slid on some basic white sneakers and headed out the door. I walked to the park while listening to some music.
Once I got to the park I noticed that George was already there, but this time he was sitting on the grass. He was already doing some of his homework, George looked up from his work and saw me.
"Hey!" He smiled and waved.
I ran over to him and sat down next to him on the grass. "We're sitting here now?"
George laid back on his hands with his textbook sitting on his lap, "It's such a nice day, it's weird for the weather to be this nice on a February."
I looked up at the clouds, "Yeah."
I got out my homework and books and George went back to studying.
Most of the time we just studied, helped each other if we had any questions, and compared our answers for our homework. We would often crack a couple of jokes in between, but mainly we were diligently doing our work.
It was about 2:05 pm when we finished our stuff. I started pack by my stuff up. I finished packing my stuff and was about to leave.
As I was about to leave I stopped, "George."
"Yeah?" George starting getting up off of the grass.
"Umm....walk together?"
"Huh?" George ran over to me, trying to hear me better.
"Uhm..uh.. never mind this is stupid." I brushed off.
"No, it's fine, tell me." George then smiled, assuring me.
"Uhmm....do you wanna walk back to my house with me?"
"Okay," George grinned.
"Okay." I wiggled my toes under my sneakers in happiness.
George bent down to my height, he adjusted the collar of my shirt and smiled. I looked into his eyes and smiled shyly.
"Let's go!" George patted my head and started walking. "You're house is this way right?"
"Yup!" I grinned as I caught up to him.
While we were walking I looked up at George next to me, he looked like he was having a good time, he had a cute little smile on him. There weren't much cars on the road surprisingly.
Out of nowhere I felt a raindrop land on my hand. "Hm?" I looked over at George who also noticed that there were raindrops coming down.
Suddenly and swiftly more raindrops dropped down, "Is it raining?" George put his hand out to feel raindrops.
In a couple of seconds it started pouring down. We started booking it, George lifted his bag on the top of his head and I lifted my bag on the top of my head. We started laughing as the rain poured down on us.
"There!" I pointed to a nearby bus stop.
We both ran to the bus stop, our feet accidentally splashing small puddles on the floor. We both felt a sense of relief as soon as we got under the bus stop's roof.
"It's really pouring." George giggled, putting his hand out from under the roof and felt the rain hit his hand.
I giggled, "That escalated quickly."
We waited for a couple minutes for the rain to settle.
"I think we can go now." I watched as the rain calmed down.
"Yeah, I think so too." George stepped out of the bus stop.
