Chapter 3
Nang makarating kami sa cafe. He the door for me. We chose a table for two and he pulled the chair para paupuin ako.
“Good afternoon! What’s your order?” Tanong ng waitress ng nakangiti.
“What’s yours? It’s my treat.” He asked me.
“No, I can pay for my food.” Nahihiya kong sabi.
“You can just treat me with drinks?” He said while smiling. Damn! He’s really handsome. Some of them are also foreigners na naka-bikini lang.
So, I ordered blueberry cheesecake at sa kaniya naman ay isang slice ng red velvet cheesecake. Our drinks are iced coffee for me and milktea naman sa kaniya. We started eating and he initiate the conversation.
“How are you? What happened to your life this past years?” Tanong niya.
“I’m a civil engineer. I was assigned to do the renovation of the hotel that we’re staying in.” I told him. Namangha naman siya sa aking sinabi.
“You really became an engineer, huh? You know how to draw now?” I laugh at his question.
I took engineering because I am curious on the concept and the process behind building a houses, building, bridges and more structures.
“How about you? What do you do for a living?” Tanong ko sa kaniya.
“I own a pharmaceutical company. The people that I’m with are doctors. They have medical mission here. And Mrs. Garcia is the owner of some charities and foundations. We will give them some supplements, vitamins and also medicines if they have illness. The problem for other medical missions, Yes, they have doctors. They give prescriptions but the people can’t afford the medicines.”
“I’m also here because Mrs. Garcia told me to make a house or a building for the victims of typhoon.”
Luca is a chemist. His father actually wants him to become a doctor but he refused and wants to make his name.
It’s more like a businessman not a doctor.
Way back in college, I was torn between career or practicality. My mom wants me to become a nurse para madali daw makapag-abroad.
I remember may isang speaker na nagsabi sa amin “Happines makes you success” and I agree on that. If you are happy with what you are doing, you will be successful.
We talked about some things. Some personal kung ilan ang naging relationships naming dalawa.
He told me na nagkaroon siya ng 5 girlfriends and lahat daw nagfail dahil hindi daw sila nagkaroon ng time sa isa’t isa at ang iba naman aya napakaselosa at may isa rin siyang girlfriend na ang toxic ng ugali.
