"H-hello?..." Inaantok pang sagot ko sa kabilang linya. I'm still sleepy and I badly want to sleep more but the ring of my phone interrupted me. Haisxt!
["...Hello girl? Did I wake you up?"] Inaantok man ay agad ko paring nabosesan si Georgie sa kabilang linya. 'To early to call, huh?'
"Pch, yeah! I'm still sleepy, you know. Anyway, what's with the sudden call, Georgie? How's Elizandy?" I just asked instead of blaming him for waking me up this too early in the morning. Argh!
Dahan-dahan akong sumandal sa headboard ng kama while waiting for his answer, tutal ay hindi na rin naman ako makakatulog ulit. Para lang mapaupo akong bigla sa kama sa sumunod na sinabi niya sa kabilang linya. "...WHAT? P-pardon?"
["Haisxt! My eardrum girl 'nu ba?... Psh. But heniwey, I said she's fine with me, don't worry. And you need to fetch us here at the airport. As in now na!"]
This too early?! For goodness sake! Alas sais palang ng umaga!
"S-sandali! Wait wait, fetch you at the airport? Nasa pilipinas na nga kayo? B-bakit sobrang aga naman ata?" Shock pang tanong ko rito sa kabilang Linya-at tuluyan na akong nagising-marahil ay dahil kagigising ko lang at tawag kaagad nito ang gumising sa'kin.
["Of course girl. Papasundo ba kami kung wala pa? TSS!"] Aba't-- pilosopo pa talaga 'tong baklang 'to!
"Haisxt! I know okay? I'm just shocked because ang alam ko tommorow lunch pa ang dating niyo n--"
["Yeah. But your daughter insisted that we set our flight this early only because this beautiful kido of yours really misses you so much kahit kakaalis mo lang kahapon."] Putol nito sa sinasabi ko. Natahimik naman ako for a second for what he said. I sighed silently dahil kahit naman ako ay miss na ang anak ko.
Hindi talaga kami mapaghihiwalay kahit saglit lang. How I love my daughter so much! "Ohh! I miss her too Georgie! Anyway, can I talk to her?"
["Oh sure! Here... MOMMY! I MISS YOU NA PO! Sunduin niyo na po kami dito sa airport. I can't wait to see you na po eh"] Bahagya kong nailayo ang phone sa tenga ko dahil medyo napalakas ang boses ng bibo kong anak, bago natatawang sinagot ito.
"Okay my princess! Wait me there okay? Anyway, I just want to hear your voice baby. I love you! And I missed you again" I said full of love. "So can you give back the phone to tito George?" I added.
["I love you too mommy! Okay po..."] Saglit na tumahimik sa kabilang linya hudyat na ibinalik na nang anak ko ang phone kay Georgie. ["Hello Elisel? So we will just wait you here at the arriving area?"]
