[Kayleigh x Selene]
Selene had her eyebrow furrowed and her arms crossed. One of her friends was begging her to take her place instead for the blind date scheduled later evening.
“Please. I’ll even pay you for it!” Hannah pleadeed.
Selene sighed.
“Why should I? You’re the one who wanted the go to the blind date right?” Selene insisted.
Hannah’s eyes began to water, and with a sniff, she tries to flash her signature puppy eyes to her friend in hopes that she would agree.
Selene twitched.
She can’t believe her friend is using the puppy-eye look on her.
“Please. I fell in love yesterday. I can’t show up to the blind date.” Hanna explained, as she clasped her friends hands.
“He’s really sweet! Exactly my type, and he also likes me and-”
“I don’t want to hear it!” Selene said in a loud tone which startled Hannah.
Selene sighed again. She tried to compose herself.
“Sorry.” Selene managed to utter.
“Why not just tell him that you don’t want to continue the blind date?” Selene asked.
“Hehehe” Hannah just said white droplets of sweat formed on her forehead.
“Are you hiding something from me?” Selene asked.
“No No No! I promise. It’s just that. Let’s just say I couldn’t say no.” Hannah explained.
Selene glared at Hannah.
“Don’t tell me that you want me to pretend to be you?” Selene asked.
“No need for that. Just be you and tell that person that well- I’m busy so you’re there to take my place.” Hannah explained, her eyes shining bright.
Well I guess there’s no harm to helping her out. I still can’t believe she’s making me do all these things.
“Wait? That person? You don’t know what gender you’re meeting up with?” Selene asked out of curiosity.
Hannah gave her an awkward smile, hoping that Selene won’t get upset with her.
“You know I’m straight right?” Selene said.
“Well- I’m not sure either. But! But! I guarantee you that that person is loaded.” Hannah said pointing up her index finger.
Selene was really tempted to smack her friend.
“I don’t care if that person’s loaded or not. Why can’t you just cancel it?” Selene still tried to convince her friend.
“My parent’s set us up. If I stood that person up, I might get scolded. Besides, I’m pretty sure that it’s a guy. My parents set me up with that person after all. With them wanting me to have children and all, it couldn’t be a woman.” Hannah said.
Selene sighed.
“Fine.” Selene smiled at her friend who hugged her right away.
“I owe you! Thank you. You’re really the best!” Hannah said.
“Oh before I forget. I bought you a dress.” Hannah said with a huge smile and handed Selene a box containing her dress.
“You’ve been planning to have me replace you since yesterday haven’t you?” Selene said, feeling her anger rise.
