The pogues spent the next day riding around the marsh on the HMS pogue fishing. After a couple hours of wasting time, they had to drop pope off at work and Kie and JJ headed back to the chateau

"Kiara i need to talk to you about something" JJ said nervously following the brunette into the kitchen.

"Okay shoot" Kiara shrugged bending over grabbing two bottles of beer from the fridge and stood up straighter passing him a beer with a smile 

"No Kie-i'm kinda serious right now" JJ said declining the beer and placed a hand on the counter balancing against his arm, Kie copied his actions looking up at him, confused why JJ was all of a sudden so serious.

"Go ahead i'm listening" She shrugged and JJ sighed looking at his shoes, he was having a hard time looking her in the face

"This is probably such a stupid thing to say- you're already so stressed out but kiara i've known this for years i can't hide it anymore-"

JJs speech was interrupted hearing the front door open. JJ assumed it was pope and didn't break eye contact with Kie

"Pope we just dropped you off at work" 

"Am i not allowed in my own house?" 

JJ knew that voice anywhere, His head shot up seeing John B and Sarah Smiling in the doorway

Kiara turned around to see what he was looking at, her eyes grew large before they rolled into back of her head and she started to fall back against JJ. JJ quickly slipped his arms underneath hers catching her before she could hit the wood floor.

"John B! Sarah!" JJ exclaimed in disbelief as they walked through the doorway.  JJ dragged the passed out girl to the couch hoisting her ontop the mattress before John B grabbed his best friend engulfing in him in a hug.

"You- you're alive!" JJ said tears in his eyes, he pulled back grabbing John Bs face looking at him, not believing his eyes

"B-But they said you died- you couldnt have made it" JJ said in disbelief as the couple smiled 

"I missed you so much" John B said abruptly hugging him again and JJ held on tight. His favorite person in the world was alive.

"Dude they had a phony kook funeral for you guys and everything" JJ said as they eventully broke the hug

"Sounds like Ward" Sarah said with an eye roll. JJ grabbed her hugging her and kissed on the cheek 

"Im glad youre okay too princess" 

Sarah rolled her eyes playfully but gave him a firm hug

"Yeah yeah, I surprisingly missed you too JJ" 

  JJ stepped back running his hand through his hair 

"holy shit" He muttered with a small smile. Sarah turned her gaze to Kie sprawled out on the mattress 

"well that wasn't the welcome back I was hoping for- im gonna get some water and ice so she wakes up" Sarah said walking away and into the kitchen 

"So really Kie huh?" John B asked quietly and JJ looked at him with wide eyes

"I have no idea what youre talking about" JJ lied and John B crossed his arms

"Seriously JJ i got here like two minutes ago and you're trying to lie? you might be a good liar but you cant lie to me i've known you since third grade" John B said reading JJ.

JJ sighed.

"Not now, John B." 

"I'm gonna hold you to that. We're going out on the boat in a couple hours" 

"Its like- almost dark out" JJ said trying to make an excuse. Sarah walked back squatting pressing a cold washcloth to Kies forehead. JJ sat on the edge of the mattress watching Sarah try to wake her up. John B  sat next to her on the mattress. 

After a couple minutes Sarah gently woke up Kiara. 

Kiara sat up and the washcloth fell into her lap, Her eyes darted back and forth between sarah and john B who smiled, she then turned to JJ

"You see them too right?" Kie said with heavy insecurity in her voice

"Yes" JJ replied firmly.

Kiara wrapped her arms around sarah her expression grew into a smile, John B soon joined the hug and Kie sobbed softly.
