Isla Sorna: 207 Miles West of Costa Rica --- RESTRICTED
Through a pair of binoculars, Enrique Cardoso eyes an airplane flying high in the sky. He knows he is not supposed to be there, yet he dismisses the fact. And as the plane slowly flies away, he gives the driver the green light to cruise across the ocean at a high speed. Inside the boat, Enrique straps Eric Kirby and Ben Hilderbrand's life vests onto a parasail harness.
"Here you go, my friend," Enrique says as he prepares Eric and Ben for parasailing.
"Make sure you get as close as you can. I'll give you something extra if you make it a good trip," Ben yells over the engine of the speedboat.
Enrique gives a chuckle,"I'm gonna get you close, my friend, but not too close. You don't want to be eaten."
Ben gives out a chortle. "You ready, amigo?" Enrique asks the two.
Both, Ben and Eric, nod excitedly and give the thumbs up, "Ready!"
As the boat starts to gain more speed, Ben and Enrique eagerly wait for the signal to go. Then, Ben grabs the end of the ripcord attached to the harness. When the speedboat is at a certain speed, Ben starts to count, "One, two, three!" and yanks the cord. As the towline unreels rapidly, Ben and Eric go higher and higher.
Whooping and hollering, Ben asks Eric, "Scared?"
Eric replies, "Uh-uh, this is great!"
Ben and Eric float high in the sky, admiring the serene view. The whooshing of the wind cancels all the other noises around them. Ben looks around with the camcorder that dangles from his neck.
"See anything yet?" Eric asks in anticipation.
"No, not yet," Ben replies back.
Down below, Enrique eyes a dense fog coming up ahead. Still, he instructs the driver to continue on and go through the fog. Soon, the speedboat is embraced by the mist and nothing is visible at all.
Above, Ben and Eric carry on with their adventure, engrossed with nature's beauty. All of a sudden, a sharp tug brings alertness to Ben and Eric. "Whoa!" Ben exclaims and puts down the camcorder, which he was using.
"What was that?" Eric questions, slightly alarmed.
"I don't know," Ben replies, having nothing else to add on. They both look down, however are unable to see anything due to thick, dense fog blocking their view.
Then, they both feel a second tug on the parasail. Ben grabs Eric's arms tightly, in fear he might lose Eric in the chaos. They can faintly hear the boat engine sputtering, yet are unable to see what exactly is going on down below.
Ben tells Eric, "Hold on."
Eric starts to panic, "What's happening?"
Ben exclaims, "Hold on!"
Eric groans and is frightened, "Make it stop!"
Something is tugging at their parasail, however the forces of the wind keep on pushing them back. In this battle, it seems Ben and Eric are in the middle of a tug- a - war. The boat finally emerges from the fog, however, there is no sign of Enrique or the driver. Only thing that is shown is blood spattered on the deck.
Eric nervously looks down at the boat, "What happened to them?"
The only response Ben is able to come up with is, "I don't know," not having a single idea of what is going on. As they are looking down at the boat, their eyes move up ahead to see they are moments away from crashing into a reef. "Oh my god!" a horrified Ben says.
