Isla Sorna --- Aviary
The group goes down to a lower level of some sort. It's extremely foggy, nothing is visible beyond two feet. Everyone tries to look around, to see where exactly they are and if there's any way out. Alan takes the group down another set of stairs, thick clouds blocking their view.
When Alan takes another step, the rusty staircase breaks beneath his feet. Paul grabs him in the nick of time. The broken staircase vanishes into the fog. After a few moments of silence, they hear the crash far, down below.
Paul whistles, "You okay?"
"Yeah."
Alan turns back the way they came from. He glares at Billy, but his eyes soften when his sight falls on a torn down Raina. They all come to a catwalk. Alan takes one step, however it creaked.
"Let's do this one at a time, shall we?" Alan goes first. The walkway creaks and groans at every step Alan takes. Soon Alan fades into the thick fog. The rest look in anticipation.
A few moments later, they hear Alan yell from the other side, "Okay, come on over! One at a time!"
Next person is Amanda. She turns to Eric, "All right, Eric, I'm gonna leave you just for a minute, okay? Then you're gonna be right behind me, okay?"
A slightly annoyed Eric says, "Mom, I've been alone in a water truck for eight weeks. I think I can manage the next two minutes without you." Paul smirks a little at his son's response.
"All right. We're all together now." Amanda looks at Eric one last time before she trails on the catwalk. After a couple of minutes, Amanda yells over, "Okay, Eric! Come on, honey!"
"Okay. Over you go." Paul tells Eric. Eric carefully treads on the walkway, vanishing into the vapor.
Billy looks at Raina, who's facing forward. He approaches her.
Raina feels Billy come close to her from the corner of her eye. She still doesn't look at him.
"Raina, please look at me. I'm sorry. But you have to understand..." Billy starts to explain.
"Understand what, Billy?" She turns to him, "You stole the raptor's eggs. Your selfishness cost Udesky's life. You didn't even think twice before taking them."
Billy couldn't keep eye contact with her and bends his head down. Raina continues, "I mean I know you're determined and- and zealous, but your ambitious nature scares me, now. You basically proved it to me that you can go to any length in order to get what you want. Dismissing the risk whatsoever."
Paul stands there, listening to their conversation.
"You've changed. In this short span of time, you have shown me your true self. You're not my Billy. You are not the Billy that I knew; the one before Isla Sorna, the one who would joke with me at the dig site, the one who was caring, the one that I fell in l..."
Raina halts mid- sentence. Billy's head jerks up, realizing what she was about to say. Raina, not being able to look him in the eye, turns away.
Before Billy could say something, the trio heard Eric's cries. Paul calls for Eric's name and runs towards him. Billy and Raina hasten on the catwalk. Eric emerges from the fog, but then a Pteranodon swoops out of the fog and snatches Eric with its sharp claws.
The group watches in awe as the Pteranodon carries Eric away. They start running in the direction that Eric went, attempting to keep him in sight.
"I can't see him! I can't see him!" Amanda exclaims due to the fog making everything invisible.
Everyone jumbles around the area, seeking a path that leads to Eric. Unfortunately, the unfamiliar location and dense fog prevents them.
