Isla Sorna --- The Jungle

Alan carries on leading the group. He clears a couple of underbrushes that were blocking the path and everyone freezes. In front of them, lay a dead dinosaur; its intestines out in the open and blood is everywhere around the carcass. Flies were buzzing around it and it had a really bad smell. Raina covers her mouth and nose, not wanting to smell the pungent odor.

Alan assures the group, "It's okay, it's dead." Then, a dinosaur rises up from behind the dead reptile. A Tyrannosaurus. It's mouth was covered with blood and flesh was hanging from its mouth. "Nobody move a muscle," Alan commands everyone.

The dinosaur gave out a tearing roar causing everyone to take off running. Alan, begrudgingly follows after them. Sprinting back the way they came, the party comes face with the snouted dinosaur, again. Raina finally gets a good look at the beast.

It's a Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus, over 25 feet high. Raina had done some research about it, back when she was doing her major in paleontology. It has a bony sail along its back and its head is shaped like a crocodile. Raina could see rows of long, sharp teeth as it releases a growl. From behind, Raina senses the rex coming up. The group disperses: Paul and Amanda going in one direction and Udesky, Billy and Raina in another.

The two creatures go head to head and have a battle. No one notices Alan falling between two tree trunks in the middle of the fight.

Billy places Raina's back against a tree and puts both of his hands next to her head. She turns her head and watches the combat between the two rivals. She could see the Tyrannosaurus has the lead, biting on to the neck of the Spinosaurus. However, the latter is able to liberate itself from the jaws of the rex. And instantly, the Spinosaurus latches on its enemy's throat. With one snap, the Spinosaurus kills the rex, claiming victory.

Billy grabs Raina's hand and makes a run for it. Alan gets back up and catches up with the rest of the group. As everyone scurries away, Raina turns her head slightly to see the Tyrannosaurus lay dead on the floor and the Spinosaurus letting out a victorious howl.

Paul stumbles backwards into some underbrushes, receiving a punch from Alan.

"No, no, no. Please, please don't. Stop, p- please,"Amanda comes between Paul and Alan.

"It's time you did some explaining, Mr. Kirby," Alan demands from Paul, rubbing his knuckles. Billy puts his hand on his hips and Raina crosses her arms across her chest.

"We called everyone. We did everything we could. No one would help us." Alan holds up the picture of Eric, Amanda and Paul's son who went missing from this island. Alan, then, hands the photo to Raina. Billy comes closer to get a glance of the boy.

Mr. Kirby continues, "The Costa Rican government said this is a no- fly zone. The U.S. Embassy - that's our U.S. Embassy- told us we should accept the inevitable. Can you believe that?"

"You let a 12- year old go parasailing alone?" Billy asks.

"No!" the Kirbys reply at the same time.

Amanda clarifies, "He wasn't alone. He was with a friend of mine.

"Ben Hilderbrand," Paul says with distaste in his voice.

"Paul and I divorced over a year ago," Amanda reveals to them.

"Alright. So why me?" Alan demands from them.

"He said we needed someone who'd been on the island before." Paul says, pointing at Udesky who was standing behind Alan.

"Yes, but I did not tell you to kidnap somebody." Udesky gives his input.
