Isla Sorna --- Somewhere in the Jungle

Raina sits back, at ease, with her arms resting on one of her knees, crossed, and her head on top of her arms. Her other leg is stretched out, bandages are tightly wrapped around her injury, thanks to Alan. She stares out at nothing.

It's early sunrise, however the sun rays are hidden behind the mist. The quietness soothes her as the wind gently whispers in her ear. The birds chirping around her, but she doesn't mind it.

"What are you thinking about?" Alan sits down next to her.

"How to show you my gratitude for bringing me along to this trip of yours." Alan chuckles as Raina raises the corners of her mouth.

"You miss him?" Alan asks after a moment of silence.

Raina sighs. "A lot."

"I'm sorry."

"Me too."

Alan ruffles her hair and she gives him a fake - glare.

"We should be going," says Alan, but he doesn't move. They both sit there, drinking in the tranquility.

After a couple of minutes, Raina states, "Let's go home.

Alan helps Raina get up. He calls out to the Kirbys, who were sitting down nearby, and they all move forward.

**********

It's mid - day and they have been walking for a while. Raina has a slight limp however the stick that Alan provided her with, is easing the pain slightly.

Alan and Raina are walking up front and the Kirbys are behind them in a distance.

Eric catches up with the two paleontologists. "That lady you called."

"Hmm?" Alan perks up, beside Raina. He was keeping a close eye on her, aware of her injury.

"Who is she? How do you know that she can help us?"

"She was the one person I could always count on. I owe her a lot."

Raina just listens to the exchange between them. After a long beat of silence, Alan continues, "Although I don't think I ever told her that."

"You should," Eric advises him.

After a few moments, Alan halts. "Shh. You hear that?"

The three stop and hear some rumbling noises. Amanda and Paul behind them.

"The ocean!" Eric speaks out.

They hasten their steps and come to a clearing. But before they could go any further, a Velociraptor comes out of nowhere, blocking their path. Soon the survivors are surrounded by a herd of the raptors.

"They want the eggs, otherwise we'd be dead already." Alan states. They look around and see the raptors circling them. "Everybody get down. She's challenging us."

The group sits down, bowing their heads. Raina tries to use the stick to lower to the ground, however the raptor next to her kicks it aside. Without a brace, Raina falls down painfully, her injury flaring up.

Alan slowly removes his backpack.

A Velociraptor stalks towards Raina.

"She thinks you stole the eggs." Alan figures out.

Then, the raptor starts sniffing Raina out, checking for her eggs. She tries to move back, however the raptor tries to detect for evidence that Raina is their thief.

"Give me the eggs," Raina whispers.

Alan takes out Billy's camera bag and unzips it, presenting the eggs. Immediately, the herd of Velociraptors start cawing at each other, communicating.

Alan hands the eggs to Raina. Subsequently, Alan eyes the replica resonating chamber that Billy had crafted, at the bottom of the pack. Raina places the eggs in front of the raptor.

Alan places the resonating chamber by his lips and blows through it. A hissing sound comes out, slightly irritating the Velociraptors.

The reptiles seem quite agitated because they start screeching.

"No! No, no, no. Call for help." Paul states.

Alan, then, starts making a cawing sound which works because it confuses the raptors.

Promptly, a whirring noise catches the group's attention. The raptors retreat, taking their eggs back. After each and one of them leave, the group eases back and can still hear the whirring.

"That's a helicopter," Paul states. They all stand up and run to the noise. Alan helps Raina, keeping an arm around her.

The five survivors reach the coast, where a man in a suit is standing alone.

"Dr. Grant? Dr. Alan Grant?" the man yells through a bullhorn. This exaspirates the group.

"Not again," Raina mumbles.

"Stop! That's a very bad idea!" Paul and Amanda warn him.

At that moment, they turn and see the United States Navy and Marine Corps, including aircraft carriers. Men get out, guns by their sides, and rush towards the survivor.

"Wow. You have to thank her now. She sent the Navy and the Marines!" Eric states, impressed.

"God bless you, Ellie."

At last, the survivors are rescued. The man approaches Alan and ushers the group inside a helicopter. Alan and the man help Raina get inside, careful of her injury.

The man addresses Alan, "Dr. Grant, is this man with you?" Raina perks up.

"What?"

The man points to someone. Alan and Raina move up to see Billy, lying on a bed with several injuries.

"Billy!" Raina cries out. She bends down next him, not caring about her leg, and hugs him, careful not to press on any of his wounds.

"Hey, you made it." Billy says.

"Yeah." Alan smiles, happy to see him.

Billy looks at Alan, "I rescued your hat." Billy hands the hat to Alan.

"Oh yeah. Well, that's the important thing." Alan goes back and sits down in his seat. However Raina stays there next to him.

She looks up at him. A bandage is wrapped around his head and has a gauze taped on the side of his neck. She touches her forehead against his, tears streaming down her eyes.

"I love you."

She moves back and her eyes widen, not believing not what she just heard.

"What?"

"I love you. So much."
Raina just presses her lips to Billy's. He pulls her closer, deepening the kiss. Raina melts into the kiss, all her tension and worry gone. She could feel his love and the care in the kiss.

She pulls away, however she pecks his cheeks and nose.

"I love you, too. Always have." Raina confesses.

Billy smiles at her. He rubs her lips with his finger. She grabs his hand and places an open kiss on his palm. Raina places her head, next to his, and closes her eyes.

Alan and the Kirbys watch the young couple. Alan is content that his friends are okay and they have made it.

The helicopter heads towards two amphibious assault ships as Pteranodons fly past them.
