Isla Sorna --- Downstream

The sun has settled down. The moon is high up in the sky.

Raina is sitting, alone. She hasn't said a word since getting on to the barge. Eric sits down next to her.

"Hey, Eric," She utters her first words.

"Hey."

"You good?" Raina asks,

"Yeah." There's a moment of silence. "How you doing?" Eric asks, worried for her.

Raina releases a deep breath. "I'm okay," she turns to him, "I just miss him."

"I'm sorry about Billy."

"It'll be okay, Eric."

Raina gives him a warm smile, easing Eric's mind a little.

Abruptly, Paul cuts the motor and grabs the group's attention. "Listen!"

Everyone stays silent. Alas, they hear a ringing... the satellite phone!

Raina and Eric stand up and move towards Alan, Paul and Amanda. The survivors could hear the phone ringing, when they looked to see where it's coming from. And everyone is horrified when they see several mounds of dinosaur dung sitting on a patch of land. Raina is disgusted when she hears the phone is coming from there.

"Find it before it stops ringing!" Alan yells.

"Eric, you stay on that boat." Amanda commands his son.

Everyone, except Eric, climbs down the barge and plunges their arms into the revolting dung - heaps. Raina is nauseated with the smell and having her arms inside the molehill of droppings. The adults discover some weird things: bones, watches, sunglasses and many more. The ringing continues, yet nobody is able to detect where it is.

Finally, Amanda speaks up, "I got it." Everyone goes to her dung- heap.

Alan takes the phone, clears off the defecation and answers the phone, putting it close by his ear, but not letting it come in contact. "Hello? Hello!"

Raina could faintly hear an automated voice message, "You too can own a time - share in beautiful Guadalajara. Enjoy a meal in one of our four - star restaurants..."

"Look out!" Eric yells from the barge.

The four look up to a horned Carnotaur approaching them. Everyone sits there, frozen. The Carnotaur sniffs around, smelling the feces. Disgusted, the carnivore walks back from where it came from.

The four can't help but be a little offended.

**********

Thunder cracks down as rain is pouring down hard.

"Turn up the power. You've got juice for maybe one call. Whatever you do, don't call the U.S. Embassy. They won't do a damn thing." Paul explains to Alan, shouting over the rain.

"Hey, guys!" Eric yells from the other side, "Come here! Look at this!"

Everyone notices in the murky water, something is shimmering in a wave of silver.

"Bonitos," Alan identifies it.

"Something must have spooked them." Eric says.

"But what?" Raina questions.

"Get the engine going, Mr. Kirby," Alan addresses Paul.

Paul pulls on the cord, to get the engine moving. While, Alan makes a call, trying to get help. Raina is by Alan, thinking who he could have called.

"Ellie?" Alan speaks up. Raina instantly knew that he had called his old friend, Dr. Sattler.

"Charlie! Charlie! Charlie, take the phone to mommy now." Alan orders the boy. "Take the phone to mommy, It's the- it's the dinosaur man."

Meanwhile, Paul continues to pull the cord, however the engine won't come to life.

Alan goes on, "Listen to me, Charlie." A moment later, "Charlie, are you taking the phone to mom? Charlie!"

All of a sudden, they tumble down, feeling something has bumped into the barge. Raina turns and finds none other than the Spinosaurus. As the thunder cracks, the carnivore lets out a booming roar.

Everyone moves to the other side, where the cage is set at and gets inside it. The Spinosaurus lunges and tears down the wheelhouse. The reptile tips the boat, making the cage slide downward, but then goes back when the dinosaur releases.

The Spinosaurus tries breaking the cage, where the survivors have taken refuge. Then, the reptile shakes the cage around.

"Look in the boxes! Find a weapon!" Alan shouts.

Out of nowhere, the satellite phone starts to ring. "Where's the phone?" Raina yells.

"There!" Paul finds it.

"Get the phone!" Alan screeches.

Alan and Raina try to grab the phone, but it slides away. Due to the cage's heavy weight being placed at the end of the craft, the barge slowly tips off. The phone slides back and Alan succeeds in snatching it.

Although, the cage falls into the river and starts to sink down.

"Ellie? Ellie, listen to me. Alan talks on the phone, "The river! Site 'B'! The river!"

The cage sinks down into the river and everyone goes underwater. They struggle to get out of it. Then, they feel the Spinosaurus's claw swiping back and forth. The cage rolls around and somehow Paul manages to get out, the other four are still stuck.

The cage sinks deeper, landing on the river bottom. They can't even get out because the Spinosaurus is clawing and biting at them.

Raina screams when the reptile succeeds in slashing her leg. She hollows in pain, drowning as blood pools around her. It grabs Raina and attempts to pull her out. But immediately the dinosaur let goes of her and she dunks back into the water.

With the Spinosaurus distracted, Alan aids in getting Eric, Amanda and Raina out of the cage. They all dive and swim to land. Amanda assists Raina, due to her injury, by putting her arm around her. Alan, however, dives down at the bottom of the river, searching for the flare gun.

Amanda, Raina and Eric reach the shallow part of the river. They watch in horror as Paul is dangling from the crane, which the Spinosaurus is attacking. Alan resurfaces up with the flare gun in his hands. One shot hits the reptile and another shot ignites a fire.

"Dad! Dad!" Eric yells. Paul is stuck, arms holding onto the crane.

Then, the crane tips over, falling into the river. They hear his cries as he goes down.

"Paul!" Amanda screeches his name.

Eric tries to go to his dad, but Amanda stops him. The spread of the fire scares the Spinosaurus, not before giving out an ear - splitting roar.

"Dad!" Eric shrieks, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Alan and Raina watch with grief.

"Paul, you jerk!" Amanda screeches. "You can't leave me like this!"

"I'm not going anywhere."

They all turn to see Paul standing, with barely any major injuries. Amanda and Eric rush over to him and give him a hug.

Raina and Alan stay back, Raina joyful to see Kirby's happy reunion again.

"At least someone got their happy ending." Raina states.

Alan turns to her. She looks back at him, giving him that smile that he thought would never see again. He wraps an arm around her, giving her a side hug.
