!!TRIGGER WARNING!! This story contains anxiety, depression, kidnapping, and just plain fear. If you are sensitive to anything retaining these triggers, I would advise you NOT to read this story. Sincerely, LT :). This was written by me when I was in the 8th grade, I made a few edits to it and I must say I like it a lot better now. I hope y'all that do read this enjoy it as much as I do.Cold and wet, tired and exhausted, she made her way through the darkened forest. Her once shining blue eyes, darkened with fear, and the wet pitter patter of her feet, caused her to lose hope with every step. Her brown hair was dampened with rain, as fear began to tread over her. Trembling, she suddenly became hyper aware of her situation, and as for the little hope she did have, it didn't last for very long. The trees towered over her as she was anxious to escape, but fear itself kept reaching with extended jaws, ready to consume her once more. No matter how many times she told herself that she'd be okay, she knew it was a lie. She slumped over and started crying but, her sobs were blocked out by the thunder. She couldn't help but pity herself, the girl who used to be happy, now wishing that she was invisible. As the night began to fall, she began to hear twigs break in the distance along with a man's voice. She heard the eerie voice sing "Hey, my kitten..my kitten, and hey, my kitten, my deary.." the voice began to get closer along with his footsteps "Such a sweet pet as this..was neither far nor neary." She began to panic, not knowing whether to run or hide. She heard his voice echo all around her in the dark foggy forest, as her mind was screaming at her to run. "Here we go..up, up, up.." he peered behind trees and inside of holes. "And here we go, down, down, downy;" She began to run, panting heavily, but for some reason his voice still echoed right in her ear. "And here we go, backwards and forwards.." She kept running, and running until she stumbled, toppling over. Then the beam of a flashlight hit her bruised, muddy body. He walked closer with a crooked smile, quietly singing "and here we go, round, round, roundy..." Her blue eyes widened in fear, as tears streaked her dirt covered face. "Hey, my kitten, my kitten..and hey, my kitten, my deary.." he bent down, grabbing her by her long matted brown hair and whispered quietly "Such a sweet pet as this, was neither far nor neary.."
