"Is that them?"

"Pay up!"

"I told you they were dating!"

"I never thought I'd live to see the day..."

Voices surrounded me as I walked into the Great Hall, holding hands with James.

James smirked. "How many galleons do you think are changing hands right now?"

I shook my head. "More than I'd like to know."

He laughed and pecked me on the lips.

If possible, the cheering got even louder.

I glanced around the loud Great Hall. Everyone's eyes were on us.

"What do you say we just grab something to go and head out for the grounds?" I asked.

He smirked. "Lily flower, it's snowing."

"Oh. Right." Then I frowned. "Don't call me 'Lily flower'."

He grinned. "Come on, then, Miss Evans."

We headed for the open seats in the middle of the Gryffindor table. I felt eyes on my back. It made me uncomfortable.

"So, Red, how is it now that you've got your memory back?" Sirius asked, sitting down across from us.

I smiled. "It's been good, I guess. I have a list of people I plan on killing, too."

James laughed. "Who's on this list?"

I pulled out a piece of parchment and cleared my throat. "Lily Evans' Kill List. Number one: James Potter."

"What?!" James exclaimed. "I'm your boyfriend!"

I shrugged. "Remember that prank at the beginning of the year that involved me seducing the Slytherins?"

James frowned. "That was just a bit of fun."

Sirius barked with laughter. "Mate, we all know that you just wanted to see Lily in slutty clothes."

"Thank you, Sirius," I said.

He nodded and raised his glass of pumpkin juice which was (probably) spiked with firewhiskey.

James sat back, grumbling about liars and meanies.

I rolled my eyes. "Number Two: Severus Snape, aka Snivellus."

Sirius snorted. "No surprises there. He was the one who attacked you."

"Number Three: Bellatrix Lestrange and the rest of her Death Eaters."

"Good choice, but Sirius and I already kind of killed them," James said nonchalantly.

I frowned. "Okay then. Number Four: Mary MacDonald. Urgh, I hate her so much. But Marlene wants me to be friends with her again. She's such a bitch, though!"

"Ah, yes. She's said some really bad stuff to you, hasn't she? Although I thought she was already on your kill list before?" Sirius asked.

"I didn't have a kill list before."

"You had one in your head," James said helpfully. I glared at him.

"You guys are ganging up on me. Sirius, you're supposed to be my best friend!"

Sirius shrugged. "Sorry, Red. But Prongsie here has already taken that spot."

I rolled my eyes. "We're best friends from different genders, Black. You're my best guy friend." Sirius winked at me.

"Glad to know I have that position."

"What about me?" James asked, looking hurt.

"You're my boyfriend, you don't count," I told him.

"Yes, I'm just her boyfriend, I don't matter, blah blah blah," James muttered.

"I never said you didn't matter," I said sweetly to him, kissing him softly.

I pulled away to see him grinning like a madman. "Can you believe it?"

"Believe what?" Sirius and I said simultaneously.

"Lily Evans just kissed me voluntarily," James said dreamily. He stood up and floated away like he was on cloud nine.

I rolled my eyes. "He's like Xenophilius Lovegood."

"Except lovesick," Sirius said. "I think I'm actually going to be sick."

I laughed. "So how're you and Marlene?"

"Oh, you know, it's good," he said casually, picking at his lunch, "it's going well. She's really pretty, and --"

"You don't like her, do you?" I interrupted.

Sirius looked around sheepishly before shaking his head.

"It's just, I don't know how to break it off without hurting her," he murmured. "I mean, she's nice and all, but --"

He suddenly stopped and went very pale. "Shit."

Marlene entered the hall. "Siri! I was wondering where you'd gotten off to!" she sang.

She took a seat down next to him and smothered him with kisses. I wrinkled my nose in disgust.

"Hi, Marlene," I said pointedly.

She looked up. "Oh. Hi Lily."

Then she went back to snogging Sirius.

When he surfaced for air, Sirius shot me a look that clearly said, Help.

I cleared my throat. "So, are you guys happy with your relationship?"

Marlene giggled. "Oh yes, very. I just wuv my wittew Siwi so vewy much!" she exclaimed in a baby voice.

I pursed my lips, trying not to gag. "Well, if you'll excuse me, I have -- er -- a toilet to throw up in, and, um, James to, er, snog..."

I got up rather quickly and ran out of the hall.

Behind me, I heard Marlene say to Sirius, "Do you get the feeling she doesn't want to be around us?"

"Have you seen Sirius and Marlene together?" I asked James, sitting next to him in front of the fire.

He chuckled. "Sirius is so unhappy, and Marlene is kind of gross."

"Kind of?! They snogged right in front of me and the entire Great Hall!" I exclaimed.

He put his arm around my waist. "We could snog."

I rolled my eyes. "You're not listening to me, James. It's disgusting! Marlene isn't acting like herself, and poor Sirius..."

He laughed. "Seriously --"

"Please don't make that a joke. If I hear one more 'Sirius' joke, I will completely lose my mind."

"Please, Lilsie, let's snog."

"I'm not finished yet, Jamesie. I mean, Marlene's happy, but I can't stand by and watch my best friend so unhappy like that, it's terrible! And what's worse --"

I never finished my sentence because James kissed me.

And we kind of made out on the couch.
