t/w: vulgar words, abuse
—
The children's favorite time is three in the afternoon.
They knew that it was all about playtime, where they could run through the grass, and they could hype around their designated rooms. Even the three in the clock itself would love the scene of children laughing. It would always be their blissful time.
"So, Haneul, why boat?" Yuki's cheeks were still tinted with red, hugging the paper boat that Haneul made for him.
The two were walking towards their favorite spot, the swing. Instead of seeing irons, it was pure rope and a wheel. While going there, they could hear mocks from behind, telling how gay they were from being always together.
And so? They were not bothered about it. All they did was walk past them, till they reached the swing hanging on a tree.
"Because I imagine myself and you, there. We were on that boat, while we went to the places we love!" Haneul giggled, pulling the elder so they could ride the swing together. With that, Yuki couldn't stop chuckling as well.
"I can't wait to see the orange." Haneul added, swinging themselves using his feet.
"Oh, you mean sunset?" Yuki giggled and ruffled the young one's hair. "It's sunset, Haneul."
"But I want to call it orange." Haneul faced him with a frown on his face, also, pouting.
"Alright, orange then." Giving him a warm smile, he took the lead on swinging again by using his feet, kneeling it up, while the sun went down.
It would always be their spot, no one dares to go through it due to the phrases they heard that it's boring; you would only see the sky while you swing on an old rubber.
Well, for the two, it doesn't matter. They rather say it's magical.
"Yuki, is gay a bad thing?" another worry from the younger one, but he knows it'll vanish on the way Yuki assures him.
"They say it is. But I don't even think that loving the same gender doesn't make you look bad." As the swing went slower, Yuki palmed Haneul's thigh. "Right?"
"Mhm.. you're right. But I still don't get them though. Why do they hate us?"
"To be honest Haneul, I don't know." With the uncertain answer, Haneul panicked. He knows that Yuki has mastered everything that has been said in the world.
"Yuki, no. No." The younger held his hand immediately, shaking his hand aggressively as if he didn't want to face unknown answers. He doesn't like being left hanging.
"Hey, why?" He then cupped his cheek, those soft little cheeks that he'd been scared to be hit by everyone. Every little thing he has was too precious for Yuki. "- hm?"
"Yuki, you know everything right? You don't say that. You don't say I don't know."
Then after hearing his reason, Yuki laughed.
"What's so funny!?" Haneul kicked his feet in the air, making the swing wiggle.
"Oh, Haneul." He deflated that laughter, then caressed that fluffy hair. "- How could you be so adorable? Of course, I don't know everything. I'm just like you, we're still kids. Yet we still have a lot of time to know each reason. As long as we love each other, it wouldn't be bad. They're the bad ones, remember?"
Haneul nodded with eyes and went back on sparkling again whilst looking at each Yuki's features. "We're good boys."
"Yes, we are." They kept adoring each other, sending small chuckles and physical touches. But that small moment stopped when a huge woman shouted from behind.
"Oi! You two, when you'll end that huh?! You were still kids, yet you flirted a lot! Get inside, now!"
Both of the boys flinched hearing Mrs. Vicky yell at them, they hated it. They rushed inside but still; the woman was still there to block them.
"You little rats..." she knelt, holding each shoulder which made the two trembles in fear. ".. I told you then that I hate seeing you like that. We disgrace that kind of behavior, right?"
The little boys didn't answer, both heads were looking down. They did nothing wrong, so why?
"ANSWER ME!"
"Y-Yes, M-M-Mrs Vicky." They both answered they were scared of what might happen to them.
"And I told you my punishment, right? You two would not sleep together for a night. So, come. I'm taking Haneul elsewhere." He painfully grabbed Haneul; she could hear whines from the kid. Making Yuki cry in sight.
"N-no! Please, Mrs. Vicky, take me instead!" Yuki ran, so they stopped. She let the boy beg for a little time, staring at him with full disgust.
"I'm doing neither, kid. It seems satisfying to see the younger one suffer. Now go to your room, if I saw you anywhere aside from your rug, Haneul might receive-"
"I-I will! Please, I will. P-please don't hurt him more." It even breaks his heart to see Haneul silently weeping behind the woman, he seemed too scared. And he hopes it'll be the last time for him to feel the punishment. He looked so undeserving of this.
"Tsk. You talk too much." Vicky pulled the younger who was trying his best to walk faster than hers. Yuki made sure to watch them where they were going, before isolating himself as well.
"And you. The btch among btches.." she pushed the little one into a small, abandoned room, making him trip down to the floor. He released a small whine from the impact. "- you better stop yelling. Or the worst might happen to you."
She then left the kid with a loud thump coming from the door shutting, making the kid flinch.
He couldn't stop weeping, he's too scared. He misses Yuki immediately, and he's hoping as well that his brother is just doing okay along with the other kids.
February doesn't give him a good impression. Even though he loved Yuki a lot, they could always be replaced with scars, and he wishes to stop these punishments,
Or he just badly wanted to be adopted by someone, along with Yuki.
