Amity POV
Luz: Heyy, I know this is kinda last minute and random, but would you wanna meet at Michaels Milkshakes tommorrow??
Luz: Oh Yeah, this is Luz, by the way.

Shit... I was hoping she wouldn't ask me to hangout with her outside of school. Yes, Of course A part of me wants to hangout with her, and Yes, I have a crush on her.... But I can tell she doesn't feel the same way. Plus, all I do is make a fool of myself around her. Its bad enough that I constantly embarrass myself around her inside of school, nevermind outside of it.

Amity: Sure that sounds so fun!! I need a break from studying anyways.

As soon as I sent that, I felt an instant regret. Its almost like my all my logic flooded out of my system for a second while I was typing out the message. whoopies....

(time skip to tommorow, Amity POV)
It took me almost all day just deciding on what to wear. Finally I decided to wear a black long sleeved turtleneck with a plum purple skirt. I added a simple pearl necklace to make the outfit come together perfectly. Quickly, I walked downstairs and out the door, hoping that nobody would see me, since the first thing they'd ask is "where are you going??" Of course though, As I was opening the front door, the twins stopped me and Emira asked me "where are you going all fancy and dressed up like that, You know what...I don't even think I have to ask you, since I already know where your going....Have fun with Luz, but not too much fun!!" I said nothing, rolled my eyes and slammed the door angerly.

(another time skip, still Amity POV)
I walked into Michaels and the first thing I saw is Luz already sitting down at a table. As I was looking at her, I caught her eye and she adorablely smiled and waved at me as I was walking over. I sat down and the first thing she said was "Do you think I should order the triple chocolate milkshake, or the cookie dough milkshake... i'm so indecisive over shit like this." I replied immediately "I'd say to go with the cookie dough one, thats the one I always get here, so my opinions a little biased." She nodded her a head for a minute as she kept examining the menu "ooooooh and the smores milkshake looks amazinggg, there so many choices." I laughed and said "I think your indecisivness is a you problem." Shes rolled her eyes and said "fine, I'm getting the cookie dough...thats final." Just as she said that, the waitress came over and said "What can I get you guys today"

"I'll get the mint milkshake" Luz told the waitress. I somehow knew that Luz would stray from what she said she would orginally order. After the waitress left, I started laughing at Luz. She rolled her eyes and said "what?? the mint milkshake looked really good." This went on for another 2 minutes before I was able to finally contain myself.

"You know, I think thats really the first time i've seen you legitimately laugh." Luz told me. I looked down for a moment and said "yeah...umm, I'm sorry. I can come off as seroius, withdrawn and cold towards a lot of people...but I'm more shy and focused on my studies then just plain cold." She nodded her head and said "I get that!! I used to be extremely shy as well. But I learnt that lots of people actually like me for who I am, and the ones who don't aren't worth my time." I smiled at her and admitted, "yeah, thats something I haven't really learnt yet... I'm always so focused on impressing everyone around me that I never really have time to focus on myself." Immediately, she gave me a caring look and assured "well now your friends with me, so i'm gonna teach you how to focus on yourself and do things that make you happy. Not your teachers, parents or colleges...YOU."

"Good luck with that." I said bluntly "Once I commit to something, I never ever uncommit to it." Luz responded passionately.I laughed and said "you can't even commit to a milkshake." She rolled her eyes and said "I mean I commit to really important things, like helping a friend out."

"Thanks I appreciate it." I said quietly. "Anything for a friend!!" Luz responded enthusiastically.

Dang everytime she called me her friend, it killed me a little more and more inside....
