Sherlock:
After John moved out of 221b with Mary, Sherlock was lonely. He missed the excitement everyday, and although John still called him everyday, it wasn't the same.

"Have you ever thought of adopting a child?" John asked.

Sherlock crinkled his nose. "Of course not, why would I?"

"I know you've been lonely, and I think that adopting a child would bring a little light in your life." John answered.

However, Sherlock absorbed himself in his work, and ignored anything else the doctor had to say.

The next few days, Sherlock received many pictures of babies from John, and he wouldn't admit that they all melted his heart. The real surprise came, when John and Mary showed up at his doorstep, holding a little baby girl.

"Congratulations, Sherlock! You're a parent." They exclaimed.

"What?!" He asked.

"You've done a bloody awful of hiding how much you've wanted a child, so we took it upon ourselves to get you one." John said.

"Think of the play dates she'll have with Rosie!" Mary told him.

"Th-thank you." Sherlock said.

"Her name is Y/N." John informed him.

Y/N Holmes, he thought. The name had a nice ring to it.

"Let's get her settled in!"

John:
John and Sherlock were about to catch the murderer in the act. They ran to the apartment, and sure enough, the murderer was climbing through the window. The ran up the stairs; the elevator would be too slow.

Despite their efforts, the murder had already stabbed the victim. Sherlock went to chase the criminal, and John ran to the victim. The woman lying in a pool of her own blood couldn't have been more than 25. "You have to stay with me now, okay?" John pressed a hand to the stab wound.

"I-I have a child." The woman wheezed. "Can you take care of her for me?"

"You're going to make it." John said, but even he knew that she wasn't.

"H-her name is Y/N. Please give her a good life." The woman begged.

"I will."

The woman went limp.

John walked to the room that he assumed was the nursery for Y/N. Inside the crib, crying, was a little baby girl.

John picked her up, and Y/N stopped crying.

"Well, I guess you're mine now." John decided, rocking Y/N.

Molly:
Molly looked at the two reds lines on her pregnancy test, and smiled. She was going to be a mom! She couldn't have been happier. The father was her current boyfriend, Marcus.

Molly ran downstairs. "Marcus! I have wonderful news!"

"What?" Marcus said running over.

"I'm pregnant!"

"What?!" Marcus exclaimed, horrified.

"Are you not excited?" Molly asked.

"What does it look like? You can keep the kid, I'm leaving."

"Wait!" But Marcus was already packing his bags.

Mycroft:
Mycroft was going over paperwork, when he heard a knock at the door.

He opened the door, and when he looked down, there was a baby girl in the box and a note.

I don't want to raise the child, The note read. Name her what you want, I honestly don't care. Good luck.

Mycroft pulled the baby out of the box, and the baby smiled. Mycroft smiled too. He thought about calling the local adoption agency, but when he looked into the baby's E/C (eye color) eyes, he know that she was meant to be his. Mycroft decided to name the girl Y/N after an old friend of his.

"Well, welcome to the world Y/N." Mycroft said, and brought the girl inside.

Lestrade:
Lestrade was walking with Sally and Anderson, when they heard the sound of a baby crying.

"Is that a child?" Sally asked.

"Sounds like it." Lestrade replied.

"Should we go investigate?"

"I don't see why not." Lestrade walked over to the dumpster, where there was a baby girl wrapped in a towel on the floor.

"What should we do with it." Sally asked, disgusted.

"It's a she, not an it." Lestrade corrected.

"Did you check?" Anderson looked almost as disgusted as Sally.

"Well, whatever it is, I don't want it." Sally put her foot down.

"Me either." Anderson said.

"Well I don't want her either!" Lestrade exclaimed.

"Too bad."

Lestrade sighed, and picked up the child. The baby giggled, and grabbed Lestrade's hair.

"See, she likes you." Sally pointed out.

"Have fun with her." Anderson said, walking away with Sally.

Lestrade couldn't deny that the girl in his arms was the cutest baby he'd ever seen.

"I guess I'll take you home, Y/N." He was surprised how easily the random name he said rolled off of his tongue. "Let's go."
