:Alucard:

I was enjoying a smoke, when I sensed someone joining me. It was Jody, the woman of the household. She sat down next to me to watch the rest of the sunset, and gave a soft smile.

" Dean's talking's getting under your skin, isn't it?"

" He believes I'll allow my fledgling to remain with him here in the states, but she is mine, not his."

" Does she love him just a fiercely?"

" Yes, she does, sadly."

I take a drag, and she takes a swig of her drink. I can tell she is very motherly, caring for two kids who aren't even hers, even being a parent to Dean and Sam.

" You are afraid. You don't want to be alone. I can understand. I have two teenage girls who are scared about the same thing. I'm going to tell you something, and hopefully it sinks in with you better than it does them. You are never truly alone when you know you have family. This Seras sounds like a daughter to you, and Integra sounds very much the same, but in a different light. You trust Charlie with Integra, because Integra sounds like she can take care of herself. Seras sounds like a sweetheart who's never known a love like this. If you truly wish for her to flourish, she needs to do it when she thinks you aren't watching. A watched pot never boils, Alucard. Dean is a good kid, a bit rough and rugged around the edges, but he is a good kid at heart."

" I just don't want her to forget me, the kindness I gave her."

" She won't. From how Dean talks, she loves you with a devotion befit a father or mentor. You need to trust her like she does you. I think letting her spread her wings to fly on her own is a good next step."

" She's yet to feed from a fresh source, so I can't break the bind just yet, not to mention she's still as innocent as the day I took her under my wing."

" Wait, she's still a virgin?"

" Correct, so is my Master. I worry about them constantly."

" Good grief, no wonder you're so protective. I worry about that with Alex and Claire."

" So you understand why when she does choose a Mate, it will be extremely special."

" Don't worry, I'll make sure Dean understands."

I gave a deep chuckle, and a smile cracked onto my face. I put out the smoke, and stood up, offering a hand to Jody, who took it.

" You know, I'm certain about one thing about you."

" What's that, Jody?"

" You are much better company than the boys."

I gave a laugh, and went inside to find Dean and Sam finishing their final packing.

" Do you need a weapon, or are you good?"

" I have two custom pistols, with just as unique ammunition. I think I'll be fine."

" Oh, alright. Then lets go. Thanks Bobby, for the restock, and thanks Jody for the food."

" Dean, I want you to talk to me before you leave."

Sam and I went out to the car, and waited on Dean, who looked somber and a little saged. We get in, and he looks me dead in the eye.

" When this is all over, I want your blessing to take Seras on a proper date. I didn't realize it was that serious. I'm sorry."

I give a polite nod, and off we were.

:Anderson:

I was sitting in a cage, and it was sturdy. I tried to bend the bars, but it was nice and thick cast iron. I was also shackled now, most of the vampires around me learning real quick how good a fighter I actually was. I gave them one hell of a fight when I came to, so now I was shackled through the bars to keep me from trying to fight, even from the confines of this shitty cage. I didn't have my glasses or my cross, and I felt naked without them. There were 12 when I got here. Only 4 were left.

" Will anyone tell me why I'm here?!"

" Shut up if you want to keep your tongue!"

I bit my lip to stop myself from digging a deeper grave.  I was a prisoner, and it is very possible no one knew where I was. My heart ached to just see Sam one more time. To just hear his laugh, to play one more game of chess, to see his field green eyes once more. I was never in a situation like this back home. I felt the tears start to well up, and as a few fell, I heard the most beautiful sound. The sound of a 1967 Chevy Impala. A old familiar chill crawled across my skin, and I knew it to not just be a figment of my mind. Sam came, as did Alucard. Dean most likely came too. He loved his car. I loved his car. It was one of the few things we bonded over was the love of american muscle.

" Guys, we got some company, and it don't look too good."

" Leave it. Could just be some local kids goofing off. Who knows, maybe Boss might let us eat them."

I saw a shadow crawl across the walls, and a smile wider than the Nile was long graced my face. I heard Alucard walking across the creaky floor.

" Why are you smiling?! What's going on?!"

" The King is in, boys, and he's my ticket out of here."

All of them paled, and Alucard came in with his casual suit, a lighter was being twirled in his left hand.

" Hello, my American subjects. Seems you have my friend in a rather unsavory condition. Please let him out this instant, and I might not shoot you all."

I was instantly let out, the chaffing from the cuffs vanishing after a few minutes.

" Anderson, you got a smoke on you? I really could use one."

I raised a brow, and gave him the cheap menthol's I had gotten from the gas station near the Bunker. He lit it, and gave a deep drag before smiling.

" Go outside. There's someone who is internally dying to know if you are alright. I'll take care of this mess."

I shrugged, and watched in a blurry haze as he pulled something shiny out, and dumping something that was either gas or oil. I got outside, and saw two figures leaning against the car. Once I could make out Sam and Dean, Sam gave me my glasses.

" Why are we so far back?"

" Turn around and watch. This was Alucard's plan, by the way. You alright?"

" Slightly stiff and sore, but I'm fine. Where's my cross?"

Sam took it off and handed it to me, and I felt touched he wore it to keep it safe. I close his hand around the old and worn silver, and smile, pressing the closed fist over his heart.

" Looks better on you than it ever did me."

He blushed, putting it back on under his shirt, and a few minutes later, the old saw mill went up in smoke. Alucard came out, unscathed, with a big, familiar manic smile.

" Welp, this torch is lit. Let's leave before anyone finds out we were here."

" What did you get for information?"

" I had a small snack before burning what was left. Crowley wasn't wrong, but someone much stronger is calling all the shots right now. I can't say as to who, but they are stronger than even me."

" We need to get back. The girls must be worried."

" Sam, when we get back, you and I need to talk."

He looked concerned, until he touched the cross, and it sat right over his heart, a goofy smile graced his face. We loaded up into the car, I sat in the back with Sam, and the entire car ride back to the Bunker, my hand didn't leave his, not once, and neither did my smile or his.
