Uma's POV

As the old hag approached the side of the castle where no one could find us, I leaned my body against the white brick wall.

"So what exactly is your plan?" I asked, realizing how dumb this idea sounds. Like, Snow White did the same exact thing by eating an apple from a stranger.

"I will need you to drink this." The women pulled out a capsule filled with a purple substance inside. "The side effects might make you feel weird, but it'll were off after a few minutes."

"Yeah, ain't no way I'm gonna drink that." I pointed my finger to the liquid, giving her attitude.

"You must! You'll ruin the plan if--, I mean, . . . please take a sip. I really insist." She shoved the container in my face, but I pushed my back further into wall.

"I think I'm good. But thanks for the offer." I dismissed her with my hands, but she kept trying to change my mind.

"Why are you hesitant? One sip and you'll regain your strength and those bruises will disappear." The old hag persisted.

"Well," I thought long and hard for an answer that she might be satisfied with, "how can I trust you?"

To my suprise, the old hag laughed her head off. She just cackled nonstop until I spoke up again.

"What's so funny?" I crossed my arms, annoyed that I'm not filled in.

"It's just--I'm sorry, but--" She tried to catch her breath, steadying herself. "I almost forgot that you didn't know."

I arched my eyebrow, feeling nothing but confusion overwhelm me.

"If you really want to know . . ." The old hag put her wrinkly hands on the cloak that hid her identity, and slowly pulled down the hoodie.

I gasped, watching how disgusting her appearance was. My expectations were nothing compared to this.

There were large bags hanging from her eyes and several moles that were easy to point out. Then, she had this sickening grin, which revealed her yellow stained teeth. And her nose was so long and deformed. Anyone could have mistaken her for some sort of troll.

"Oh wait, one more thing." The old lady gestured for me to wait while she took out another bottle of liquid. Except this liquid was more of a greenish color.

Then unexpectedly, she chugged the whole bottle down her throat. I felt like I wanted to vomit.

I forced myself to glance away, but in the corner of my eyes, I could see her features morphing into something completely different.

Now her eyes were perfectly almond shaped, and the moles vanished from plain sight. The croaked ugly teeth she had were now white as snow. Her nose was the next thing to change, but only minor details were added. However, that wicked grin still stuck on her face.

Once I processed this sudden change, I finally realized who it was--

"Evil Queen." I tried to yell, but my throat was sore and dry from the suspense and disgustment I went through.

"About time you catched along." The Evil Queen mocked me, not uncovering the rest of the cloak.

"Wait a second, how is this suppose to make me trust you? Quiet frankly, it does the exact opposite." I admitted.

"Because you are one of us: a villain. And surely villains don't help each other, as you already know. However, in battles, we need to lift up as many allies as we can in order for the war to be successful on our half."
