Jay's POV
"Father?" My voice hallowed in the hall we were in. "Where are we? What are we doing here?"
"Don't you recognized it? Your inside King Ben's Castle." Jafar gestured his hands to display the various frames of kings and queens from around the world.
"Dude, come here. Come here." Carlos told his dog to be close by his side, and he obeyed.
"So since I have your attention, you might as well meet one of my associates." My father cleared his throat as someone with a fluffy coat stepped out from the shadows.
"What's this? Awww, my baby boy is all grown up to be a-- dog keeper!" Cruella said in a disgusted tone. "Look at this old mut."
"Hey! Who are you calling an old mut?--- You old lady!" Dude barked back at her, startling everyone except me.
I was too shocked to react. Too confused to speak. Too unsure about this odd situation were my only decision was to stay put.
"Mom, you're . . . you're here. In Auradon. In the castle. But how? Why? When? Who?" Carlos sputtered, unable to contain his thoughts inside himself.
Instead of his mother replying, my father spoke up. "Magic works perfectly well in Auradon, if I do say to myself. Just look at this." He eyed his staff up and down, observing how majestic and creepy it looked.
"You know, if it wasn't for me, your scepter would still be at the museum." Cruella De Vil bickered with her screechy voice. "All the credit goes to me, so we can get that cleared up."
"Whatever you say." My dad dismissed Cruella with his hands before returning his attention back to me. "Because you have been so quiet, I'm guessing you're waiting for the reason you all are here." He gave one of his dark laughs that echoed in the halls.
"Well, get on with it." I defensively said, regrouping my courage to respond.
"Of course, of course." Jafar raised his staff high in one hand while a beam of light shot in the air with an ear-deafening sound. "May a pronounce to you, the daughter of a fair warrior, . . . . Lonnie!"
My lungs took in more than enough oxygen at the mention of her name. Her body shape began to form in the shade of the light. Honestly, I'm not too convinced that it is her. This could be some sort of trickery so I can do my father's bidding.
"Ooh, I love this part." Cruella cackled in excitement, watching Lonnie levitate towards the ground with a soft landing.
"What . . . what happened?" Lonnie placed her hand on her head, trying to steady herself.
"Lonnie? Is that you?" I slowly made my way towards here, not entirely trusting what I'm seeing.
"Jay! Yes, yes, it's me. Get me out of here." Lonnie ran up to me, but the magic from my father's scepter pulled her back. "Aaahhhhh!!!"
"Leave her alone!" I stomped, knowing that if I got any closer, he would put a spell on me too.
"Everyone settle down a bit." He calmly faced us, but Cruella was getting impatient. "There is a bargain involved before this young lady can be released."
"Okay, what do you want?" I challenged.
"It's quite simple actually. Just agree to team up with the villains of the Isle to fulfill our master plot. Nothing serious."
"Are you kidding? You call taking over the world not serious?" I narrowed my eyes in a rude manner. "I thought you and I had a good relationship as father and son. I would look up to you when sticking up for myself. And now your forcing me to be on your side for Lonnie to be set free."
"Let me tell you something I've never told you, Jay." My father took a short breath and stared me in the eyes. "I'm not your father. I took you from your real parents when you were a baby. I raised you as my own to carry on my legacy."
My mouth dropped wide open. "But . . . I always thought . . . but who are my real parents?"
"My old rivals: Aladdin and Jasmine. It was a perfect way to get revenge on them before the King banished us to the Isle."
"Oh snap! Truth bomb dropped." Cruella snapped her fingers.
"I'm awfully suprised you didn't question this. Where do you think you got your strength? Your charm? Your skill to steal? Your looks? Although, I do carry a bit of a handsome trait in myself."
"Ha! As if." Cruella laughed, but my father ignored her comment.
Maybe he was lying. He is my father, isn't he? This could be a different trick to fool me. But there were times were I felt distant, like I wasn't connected to Jafar.
"So, what do you say? Are you in?" He raised Lonnie in the air as a reminder, and she yelled in pain.
Carlos and Dude stayed quiet for the longest time, struck by fear. I nearly forgot they were in the same hall with us. At the same time, I realized that I couldn't choose Jafar's side. But what about Lonnie . . . ?
"I-I think I'm choosing--" My words came out without my brain acknowledging what I was actually thinking.
"Guys!! I successfully got her from Mal's dorm, but we don't have much time." Hayden came running down to Cruella and Jafar. "Hurry, Mal is onto me. And Family Day is almost over."
"What's going on?" Carlos asked.
Hayden turned to face us three, shocked that we're listening to their private conversation.
"Meet you on the other side." Quickly, Hayden threw a bottle of purple liquid on the floor and disappeared.
"That's our cue." Cruella ran down the hallway, heading in the opposite direction from us.
"What about them?" Jafar shouted, levitating Lonnie lower.
"Forget about those teenagers. We have bigger problems to solve." She yelled back, already halfway through.
"Ughh, fine." He motioned his staff downwards, sending Lonnie to crash with her weight. "I'm coming." His magic was then used to teleport himself, just like Hayden.
"Oww!" Lonnie screamed, holding onto her right knee.
"Don't move, I'm coming." My feet skied across the carpet, getting fairly close to her injured leg. It was bended slightly when Lonnie would try to hold herself still. "Carlos! Dude! Go get some help."
"No way! They could come back and harm both of you." Carlos pointed out.
"I don't want to leave the castle. Cruella might be out there." Dude's tail shook in fear.
"It doesn't matter. Lonnie needs help as fast as possible-- and warn Evie. Something tells me Hayden and the villains are planning on taking over Auradon within the next hour."
Both Carlos and his dog were hesitant, but went to get help as soon as they heard Lonnie let out another cry.
"Your gonna be okay, Lonnie. You'll be okay. Just hang in there-- be strong." I held her hand, which I've wanted to do in so long. She squeezed it, her breathing getting steady.
If anyone can make it through excruciating pain, it's Lonnie...
