Harry's POV
"So you're telling me, that the Evil Queen disguised herself while convincing you to drink a liquid to help you heal?" I asked for clarity.
"The only reason she was disguised was because someone would've snitched on her." Uma explained as she fidgeted with her hands.
"Like there isn't already villains attending the celebration?" I said sarcastically, but Uma didn't respond.
"Well, . . . the Evil Queen helped me before anyone else could. If it wasn't for her, I would be in pain. And you know what Fairy Godmother would do if she found out someone abused me." Uma commented in a quiet tone.
I get someone like Queen Leah or the headmistress could have sent the V.Ks back to the Isle, but that's no excuse to trust any of the villains. Especially with my father and Gil's brothers acting weird, who knows what our parents are planning. There intentions could be more darker than we realize...
"But you shouldn't have your health relying on a witch." I said.
"Hey! Watch your words, Harry." Uma defensively got close to me, shouting through her mask. "No one, and I mean no one can tell me what decisions I should be making--"
"Uma just listen for a sec--" I interrupted, but it only got her more mad. You would think I would have predicted that would happen.
"No Harry. You can continue stalking Evie and her friends while I go find Gil. Probably Hayden too."
Just that single name echoed in my ears. Hayden. Hayden. Hayden. The Hayden who is taking my place. He is taking my Uma. My captain. My love.
And with that, Uma took off to the tables, adding onto the huge crowd in the center. What do I do? Someone just give me a sign . . . I don't want to lose her.
Evie's POV
"I'm so relieved that the doctor let you out early." Mal told me, smiling with her eyes.
"Yeah, maybe they told the same thing to Ben. You should go check on him." I suggested kindly, feeling a bit of guilt that Mal is with me and not her husband.
"Are you sure E?" Mal asked with a unsure look.
"Positive, he needs you. Besides, Doug will be by my side the rest of the day." I smiled to my boyfriend, as he set his hand on my shoulder reassuringly.
"Evie, you're the best." Mal gave me a tight hug.
So, I hugged her back before she ran off into the Beast's Castle for Ben.
"What's the plan now? Get some food? Maybe we should start dancing on the disco floor. It's starting to get a little late by the minute-- I mean, unless you want to go back to the doctor." Doug implied.
"I think I'm good Doug. They wouldn't have released me out of the ambulance if they didn't think I was fine." I started explaining.
"Yeah, but . . . what happens if you pass out again?" Doug's voice trembled more and more after every word he spoke.
"Doug," I turned around and got face-to-face with him, "I can promise you that nothing will happen to me."
"Are you sure that you feel okay?" Doug asked one more time.
"I feel ten times better when I'm with you." Doug blushed at my reply, so I kissed him to add onto the romantic moment.
Which reminds me--
"Oh my gosh! I need to introduce you to my mother." I exclaimed, full of excitement and uneasiness at the same time.
"Good luck with finding her." A Scottish accent stated.
