Sitting alone at lunch is so lame. I hate sitting alone. Nobody pays any attention to me. I'm a loser. An outcast. Somebody that nobody would be caught dead around. I wouldn't blame them. I mean. I don't have the fanciest clothes. The fanciest house. The prettiest figure. The cutest smile. Gawd, the list could go on and on.

Anyways. I was at lunch eating the horrible cafeteria food, when a wad of paper was thrown at my face. I clenched my fists and looked up. Jessica. The miss popular queen of the school. She smiled and waved. I flipped her off, and looked away. Then I started eating again. Yet again, another wad of paper hit my face. I was done. I was gonna kill her.

"What. The. Hell?,"I yelled. My face turned dark red. I never talked during school. So when I yelled that, I had everyone's undivided attention.

"What's wrong?,"Jessica asked with a snotty smile plastered onto her lips. I clenched the wad of paper and threw it at her. She looked surprised. Everyone was.

"Leave me alone before I punch your cosmetic face,"I snapped. There were some ohhhhs and burnnnns, but I ignored them. None of these people were my friends. I didn't have any friends.

"My face isn't cosmetic. It's real. Ever heard of make-up? Nope. Didn't think so stating the fact you look like you got ran over by a bus." She smirked.

I wasn't gonna let her get to me.

"Just leave me alone. Okay?"

"My pleasure, your annoying and ugly and sit alone at lunch everyday."

I bit my tongue, grabbed my tray, threw my stuff away, and stormed out of the cafeteria. I could hear the laughs echoing out of the cafeteria. I wanted to cry. I wanted to kill myself.

I went to the girl's bathroom and sat against the wall. Tears were flowing down my cheeks. Then I heard a voice. Not a girl's voice. A guy's voice. Janitor? He was just making a "hmm" noise. Weird.
"Mackenzie?"

That was my name. I didn't think anyone knew my name.

I wiped my tears and looked up. He was in my Chemistry class. Devon? Drake? Dakota?

"Mackenzie?"

It all sinked in. He was Jessica's boyfriend. It was Devon. Devon Marshall I think.

"What do you want?,"I said wiping my tears with the back of my jacket sleeve.

"To know if your okay...Jessica was really mean and I want to apologize for her snottiness."

"Nobody cares about my feelings. Leave me alone. I know you don't care either. So leave me alone."

"I-"

"Stop. Just go back to Queen B-"

"She ain't that bad. Just get to know her."

"Get to know her? I hate her and she hates me. Mutual relationship. I'm not nowhere near her or your level. So let me weep in the corner."

"Mackenzie."

"Just go..."

"Mackenzie. Stop. Your acting crazy. Your a nice person. You have more people on your side then you think."

"No. They were just laughing at me in the cafeteria. I don't have no friends. So leave me alone. Seriously."

"Just walk into the cafeteria with me. You'll like this."

He grabbed my hand and practically pulled me out of the bathroom. I was trying to get him to let go of my hands, but he hand a firm grip. Once we entered the cafeteria, everyone stared at Devon holding both of my hands as I was trying to get free.
