Jungkook had loved music since he was a kid. his parents had sang him to sleep or played him little lullabies when he had a bad dream. it helped him to write out his thoughts, bring them to paper, read them over and over again until he understood what was going on in his mind. he often wrote in the train. he got in with no destination in mind, sat down and watched the people get on and off. he would bring his little black notebook and start scribbling random words and phrases. he always used the same black o.5 Muji gel pen. it became somewhat of his own little tradition.
right now he really needed one of those train rides.
sitting across Taehyung, watching him sip on his milktea. he had no idea what was going on in his mind. complete blank, no thoughts. just how handsome the other was and how glad he was to see him.
just as he was about to say something the doorbell rang again revealing the dark haired girl.
"oh hi, wait a second."
Jungkook jumped up and jogged behind the counter.
"medium hot chocolate?"
he flashed the girl a soft smile. she nodded hesitantly and looked over her shoulder to where Taehyung was sitting.
"to-go please."
Jungkook followed her eyes. Taehyung was watching her every move from the sofa. the barista put down the mug he was holding and got a paper cup instead.
the energy in the room was awkward, Jungkook could feel that. with his back to the counter he started preparing the hot chocolate. he pouted thinking about the intense look with which Taehyung had eyed the girl. He hasn't seen Jungkook in over 2 weeks and all he could see was that girl?
Jungkook get your shit together! what are you thinking again?
he shook his head before he turned around and gave the cup to the costumer. Jungkook didn't miss the long eye contact Taehyung and the girl had as she walked out.
"who was that?"
Jungkook sat back down on his seat in front of Taehyung. the older had an expression on his face the boy has never seen.
"uhm i don't know. she came here a few times since the winter break. always orders hot chocolate."
"and she used to sit in the sofa your currently on." the barista added, pointing to the old couch. the older chuckled.
"seems like she has to get a to-go cup from now on."
he took another sip of his milktea. Jungkook smiled and furrowed his eyebrows. what was that supposed to mean?
"why haven't you been here in so long? i've waited fo you."
Jungkook blushed a little. he didn't mean to say the last part. Taehyung grinned at the words and put down his milktea.
"i visited my parents for the rest of my holidays and the past week i had to finish my art project i was working on. i had to sort out my thoughts as well."
Jungkook nodded slowly and bit his cheek. he wasn't completely satisfied with the older's answer. why didn't he text him in all this time though?
"oh would you please stop looking so sad? i'm here now! i promise to come by every day. i can show you my art work if you want to?"
the older laughed softly and grabbed his bag to get out his work. Jungkook pouted. he wasn't sad! but he really wanted to see what Taehyung had created. so he nodded and waited for the other to pull out his ipad and unlock it.
