Jungkook stared in the mirror and his reflection stared back at him. he looked different tonight. he had actually tried to look good this time.

he wore a black suit him an Taehyung had bought a week ago. the older had also insisted in getting matching tie clips and purple, silk pocket handkerchiefs. his black hair was parted on one side, forehead showing. silver rings on his fingers. black dress shoes. he felt really fancy for the first time in his life (besides that one time at his brothers wedding where he wore a suit but that was 6 years ago and he couldn't really remember anything from that day).

"now look at you, gorgeous boy."

Taehyung leaned in the doorframe to his room and eyed the other smiling. he wore his suit as well, his hair was a bit wavy. car keys dangling between his ringed fingers.

"how did you come in?"

"uhm the door was unlocked?"

while Jungkook was freaking out over the fact that he had taken a nap with his apartment door unlocked, Taehyung made his way over to the other to straighten his jacket.
now the younger had a second thing to freak out about - how handsome and close Taehyung was. only about 4 inches between the tip of their noses.

"y- you look good as well."

he blurted out. he blushed while a grin formed on the older's lips. his caramel eyes looking directly into Jungkook's. he tapped the younger's chin.

"thank you, cutie. now let's go."

and with that he turned around on his heel and was out the door. it took a moment for Jungkook to remember how his legs work until he followed him out. not after locking the door though. he even checked twice.

in the concert hall Jungkook sat in the back, last row. Taehyung had found Jimin and they left him to go and rehearse. there weren't many people there yet but the hall filled slowly.

the light's went out over the seats, indicating that the concert was about to begin. the members of the orchestra came in and sat down on their designated seats.

Jungkook's eyes immediately found the older. he was sitting at the front of the stage. oh how divine he looked. how elegantly he picked up the bow and gently placed it on the strings of his cello. how focused his eyes were, only waiting for the conductor's signal.

they had reached the fifth piece when a small smile crept on Jungkook's lips. it was Taehyung's solo. they played Copin's 'Nocturne No. 2 Op. 9'. the younger's look became dreamy. he remembered the first time he had met the older. how nervous he got as soon as Taehyung laid his caramel eyes on him. his chest became warm, thinking of them in the rain. their picnic afterwards. cuddling in the shared blanket. how he had cupped his face after the movie. wiped away his tears. his warm fingertips. his boxy smile at the party. his hugs. his scent.
