Chapter 3:Mato's Destiny

Mato POV
I started to fall asleep but when I was at the verge of it my sister woke me up. "Why are you waking me up Aurora." I said. "Don't fall asleep remember." She said quietly. "Huh? Oh wait yeah, I remember Mom and Dad are going to take us somewhere tomorrow right?" I said.

"Yeah so don't sleep." She said. "But how we need to-" I was cut off when our Mom woke up. "Ok you two are going to sleep now or I'm going to make you!" Mon said. "Ok Mom sorry we'll sleep." My sister and I said in unison. "Good" She said.

Aurora POV
"Alright so now" I said quietly so Mom wouldn't hear me but to my surprise Mato was asleep. "Mato wake up." I said. He didn't wake up he was out cold. "Wake up Mato we need to-" but before I could say anything else I felt a sting on my neck and fell asleep. "Sorry honey, but your father and I can't let you know where to go." Mom said.

Kion POV
"So there out cold right?"I asked my wife. "Yes, there'll be asleep for 4 hours so let's go." What! Now, I thought we were gonna be a little bit later." I said. "But you wanted, answers so let's go to the pridelands." She said. "Ok your right... I'll take Mato you take Aurora." I said. "Ok let's go." She said.

"Time skip"
I can see pride rock in the distance were close but let's sleep. I thought. "Hey Tani, were close to pride rock so let's sleep and get a little bit of rest whaddya say?" I said. "Yeah they are really heavy..oh I see a cave up ahead let's go there." She said. "Ok let's have a quick nap." I said.

Vitani POV
I wonder what would happen now that we're here...hmm maybe we shouldn't take a nap what if Mato or Aurora wakes up and were still asleep!? I thought. "On second thought, no lets continue." I said. "Huh-but I thought You wanted to take a nap." He said. "Well...yes but what if Mato or Aurora wake up and we're asleep. We can't let them wonder around in the pridelands." I said. "What if we take turns for sleep? " He said. "Well...I dont know Kion. Well then you take patrol then me." I said and fell asleep.

Kion POV
Well that just happend. I thought. "Hmm wait...is that?!" I said in disbelief. "Ono I gotta find cover he might spot me." I said to myself.

Ono POV
I was looking around and saw a figure appear at the bottom of my eye. "Hmm strange." I said to myself. "I should go find Kopa and report this to him, but I need to see for myself who it is...or what it is." I said and gulped. "Hello is anyone in there!" I yelled but sadly no one I was about to leave till I saw someone. "Who's there show yourself I saw you so come out!" I yelled. The figure sighed and came out paw by paw and the figure looked... weirdly safe to me. I don't know why but he did. Till I saw the scar on his face my eyes widened. "Kion is that you" I said. "Hehe, still have the sharpest eyes ey Ono?" "Oh my god Kion you've been gone for so long a year to be exact!" I said out of happiness. "Well there's a reason for that..." He paused then looked at the ground then me and continue. "It's mainly about my son don't jump to conclusions Ono he's fine it's just that." He said but I cutted in holding my wing on his shoulder. "Well, Kion first thing's first I should tell you, that Kopa took over the Lion guard in your absence, Zira has been defeated by Kovu and the jackals and crocodiles attack alot with no motive but first of all we should take you to your Simba. I said. "Well...ok Ono but why don't you bring the guard before I see my father, I actually want to meet them since it been a year and all." Kion said. "Kion it's fine Simba was always waiting for you to come back he even tried looking for you everyday he misses you Kion I even overheard he said he would let you be with Vitani and welcome her into our pride!!" I said. "Wow! Guess he really did miss me, you know what, let me get sone sleep first I travelled for 4 hours and I want to get to some rest besides-" He was quiet then looked out the cave. "Hey get over hear!!!!!!" He yelled. "I saw out the cave and see a lion and lioness cubs playing. "Are those your cubs Kion?" I asked. He sighed and shaked he's head yes and pinned them both on the ground.

Kion POV
"Why are the two of you awake?" I asked my cubs. "Oh heyyy Dad...quick question where are we?" Mato said. "Well we are in the pridelands now." I said. "The what-lands?" Aurora said. "The pridelands." I said. "Ok so why are we here?" Aurora said. "Ono look at Mato real quick." I said.

Ono POV
I did what Kion asked and to my surprise, I saw the Lion guard mark on Mato's right shoulder. "Hey so Kion, I see why you came so why don't we go to pride rock this is something that we need to know about." I said. "Watch them for me so I can go wake up my wife." Kion said. "Well ok"

2 minutes later
"Ok so she's awake and you ok there Ono?" Kion said while chuckling at the sight of me being buried under Aurora and Mato. "Yeah grunt just a little trapped under your cubs." I said. "Let me help you with that Ono." I heard a female voice and didn't know who it was till I saw the female adult lioness and I knew it was Vitani. "Hello Vitani, so...shall we get going?" I asked. "Yeah let's go and follow us tou two don't go wandering off now." Vitani said.

Aurora POV
After we left Mom and Dad we explored half the "pridelands" and we're looking at a dull area which was a wasteland and some hyenas caught my eye. "Mato do you see those hyenas over there?" I said. "No I don't see anything just waste." He said. "Huh weird but let's go before we get eaten by hyenas." But as soon as I said so hyenas popped out and one with a muffled up mane and scars across his body. "Why hello there little cubs. What are you two doing here in the Outlands? Because you look too well fed to be from the Outlands and not looking like a pridlander so where are you from?" The leader spoke. "Well, we aren't from the Pridelands and we aren't from the Outlands, we actually only stayed in one location." I said.

Mato POV
"Aurora why did you tell him?" I said to my sister. "Look at them they could kill us!?!?" She said. "I'm not afraid of hyenas so stay away from her or I'll claw you!!!!" I yelled. But when I yelled I heard a roar and look at where the roar came from.

"Dad!!!" My sister and I yelled. "Oh so these are you're cubs Kion and when I was about to kill them." He said. Suddenly anger came to me.

Kion POV
Clouds suddenly came around us. "Kion there ok you dont need to roar." Vitani said. "I'm fine Vitani we found them at least so calm down." I said. "But I'm fine too then who is it."She said "STAY AWAY FROM US!!!!!!!" Mato yelled and suddenly roared and I knew all to well that roar being the roar of the elders. And then after he roared he passed out. "Let's go to my Dad I need to know why he actually used to roar!?" I said. "What's "the roar" mean Dad." Aurora said. "What you're brother just did." I told Aurora. "Whoa" was all she could say. Then we made are way to Pride rock.
After the reunion
"But one thing Dad my son Mato actually used the roar on some hyenas."
"What!?" He said. "Yes and I was wondering about this while we've been walking do you know anything bout' it?" I asked. "No...but maybe rafiki knows?" We went to rafiki's tree and he told us this. "Well it seems that he didn't obtained the roar he was born with it." He said. "Well yeah we know that rafiki but tell us something useful." I said. "He will be the next generation of the Lion guard this is Mato's Destiny." Rafiki explained to everyone and a certain lioness was listening in on the conversation.

Long ass chapter I know took a while for me to actually publish this cause my cousin's were here so took some time yeah and bet you didn't think about Mato having the roar huh until next time goodbye everyone.
