Making Her Way To The Top

Nami quickly learned what it meant to be a fighter and to be weak (since the troupe never really let her out on missions). She faced men that couldn't stand on their own two feet. And she almost lost to kids who had the strength of adult men. Of course she hadn't lost one fight and she wasn't planning on it.
Thank god for Bisky and Wing. Without them Nami knew she couldn't have made it this far.
Nami woke up on the hottest of days, it was almost the end of August and the sun was beating down. Nevertheless she was ready for her fight. This fight could land her onto the 240th floor. And the money she had been making. It was enough to buy the 251st floor.
Her excitement led her to jump out of bed so fast that she tripped and fell. Nami rolled over laughing. She took one gaze out the window to look at the city below her. It was hot and the sun was blazing but there were clouds in the distance and she knew there was going to be a storm. The clouds in the distance were of weird shapes. Nami always believed the sky held secret messages for people. It seemed even more true when the cloud looked like a familiar insect.
Nami grumbled and turned her body away from the window. No matter how hard she tried word of the troupe always came around her. She quickly push the thought out of her head and got up.
Her day continued like any other day. Once Nami was ready she headed out for her fight. It was a older male much taller than her. But his strength didn't back up his looks. Nami crushed him in seconds, so fast the referee had to step in so she would not hurt him worse. These fights were not as challenging as she would have hoped. It was nothing like sparing with the troupe. The fights continued like that for the rest of the day and soon it was time to call it quits.
As Nami was nearing the top floor she felt a stronger energy source every time she went up. The power felt familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it. It wasn't until she made it to the 251st floor that it finally clicked.
The young girl hadn't made friends on her stay so she didn't know or talk to anyone the whole time. She just assumed it was because she was still broken from the troupe. It had been months and she thought she would be over it. But each day she wishes they would pull her back in. Call out to apologize to her. But she knew better.
'They're not exactly the kind of people to swallow their pride and apologize to someone. Even if that someone was family.' Nami would think over and over. Outside her room the sunny sky had been covered with a thick layer of cloud and she could hear the thunder in the distance.
Nami was rushing to pack up her things and move to the top floor. For once in her life she felt like she was in control of her movements and what to do next. So the idea of living on her own in a luxurious apartment made her move faster.
'If I can move all my stuff in today I could go out in the rain and train.' Nami thought as she was grabbing the last book off her shelf. She made her way up through the elevator to the top floor and checked in with the secretary at the desk.
"You're new here?" The young blonde asked with a smile. Nami raised her gaze to let the woman's.
"Yes I am actually." Nami amswered promptly.
"Well it is always nice to see new people here. It's mostly men on this floor and they can be... interesting." The attendant said lowly. This actually caused Nami to chuckle.
"Ha believe me i know what you mean" She laughed emotionlessly. The lady gave her a faint smile and turned back to her work and Nami went on her way.
Nami's energy immediately collided with another just as strong or maybe ever stronger. She stopped dead in her track. Her breath was slow and shaky. The auras scent could not be mistaken for anyone else's. It was a deadly persona that smelt like bubblegum.
'Holy shit, there's no way.' Nami though as she panicked and ran into a nearby hallway away from the nen energy.
"Tall, pale, and scary. Just as I thought.' She thought as the one and only Hisoka Morow swaggered by. He did make the slightest hesitation and stop walking for a split second.
"Shit!" Nami cried out quietly and hid her presence. Thankfully he kept walking in the opposite direction.
Nami quickly ran the opposite direction which passed the front desk again.
"Excuse me Miss?" Nami called out gaining the woman's attention.
"Yes what can I do for you Nami-san" The woman replied politely.
"I was wondering if you could tell me who Hisoka Morow has upcoming fights with." There was no way he came to Heaven's Arena just to watch people fight. He got off in experiencing people's strongest abilities and Nami knew that.
"Actually Miss Porter he is scheduled to fight you tomorrow morning." Nami's stomach did somersaults.
"Of course he is." She mumbled and walked away thanking her quickly.
There was no way she would lose her spot up her to him of all people. Nami had just made her way to the top and she was not about to have Hisoka crush this for her. But then another thought crossed her mind.
'Hisoka wouldn't be here alone. At the least he would have Machi or somebody with him. Part of the troupe has to be here.' Nami dashed to her room, threw her stuff onto the bed and opened the window.
She threw herself out the 251st floor and let herself fall down. The cool wind felt amazing on her face as did the rain that started to fall and she allowed herself to enjoy the moment. Ever since she jumped from the air ship during the hunter exams Nami had tried to do it more often. The fear always got to her head before the adrenaline did and she wanted to flip it. So now jumping from that height didn't scare her.
As the ground came closer Nami flipped her body so she was upright and facing the building. She summoned her death daggers and stabbed the wall slowing the fall and catching her before she hit the ground.
Nami raised her head up and took a deep inhale. Looking for any familiar scents that smelt like the phantom troupe. At last she smelt a very faint one. One that smelt like sweat and bourbon. It was Uvogin's.
"They're here." She mumbled and took off in that direction the rain beating on her tear stained face.
