Raining Fire Chrollo X OC Nami

Setting Off

   The two weeks leading up to the exam were filled with training. Nami would wake up and train for hours on end.  She would push herself extremely hard. Nami even got to the point where she threw up because she didn't eat and decided to fight Hisoka. Feitan and Machi did not let her hear the end of it for days.
   Nami did teach herself new abilities through her training. The young girl seemed to specialize with life and death. Sometimes the team would find her creating little patches of flowers when she was happy. But other times when Nami was mad the grass and trees around her would wilt and die. She had never used her life and death abilities on a animal or human.
   It was 2 days before the exam was supposed to start and Nami and Hisoka we're heading out. Nami only took a backpack with her filled with some clothes her phone and a book.
   Everyone had said their goodbyes and wished her luck. Nobody wanted to let Nami know but they were nervous for the her. They knew Hisoka could hold his own but Nami was all new to this. Chrollo had reassured everyone that Nami would be fine.
   "Nami I need to make sure that you are capable of using your skills to find the examination site by yourself. So you will not be going with Hisoka there. You two will go your separate way and hopefully see each other at the start. " Chrollo instructed and she nodded. Hisoka came up between the two and yanked Nami's braid. The girl yelped and hit the clown on his arm.
   " My dahlia I wish you luck on your mini journey" He said looking down at the girl. Nami looked at the man and smiled.
   "I'll see you on the other side" Nami said back. Hisoka turned and left the building not saying another word.
   About 20 minutes later it was Nami's turn to leave. Before she could walk out the door Chrollo grabbed her arm and spun her around.
   "Good luck Mimi." He said looking down at the short girl in front of him. Nami's smile grew showing her white kinda crooked teeth. Nami felt a power pulling her towards Chrollo but she didn't know what it was. It felt like attraction and took the girl by surprise. Nami wrapped her arms around Chrollo embracing him in a tight hug.
   "Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! I promise you I will pass the exam even if I have to knock Hisoka out of the running" Nami joked causing Chrollo to chuckle. His smile was replaced with a look of worry as though ran through his head.
   " Please, be safe Mimi I could never forgive myself if something happened to you" he mumbled into her hair. She could sense how scared the man was holding her. Nami looked up at him with reassuring eyes. A voice was screaming in Chrollo's head to say more to Nami. To tell her he really cared about her in a way he has never felt before. But no words came out, he didn't make a sound. Nami looked up and nodded. She had a look of determination in her eyes.
The two broke their hug and Nami turned to leave. The shouts of the troupe wishing her luck was heard from behind her.
Nami walked the whole time with a smile on her face. She didn't feel like looking for the start of the hunter exam all by herself so Nami decided to try and track Hisoka. Her senses were always heightened. Making her hearing, eyesight, and sense of smell superb to anyone else. It was almost like she had animal sense.
Her head was up in the air trying to find the sent of strong cologne mixed with the sweet smell of his hair gell. Her nose found the sent facing north. A small smirk formed on her lips.
'I'm coming you crazy clown.' Nami thought as she took of running. Chasing after someone even if she wasn't about to kill them was the best part. All the adrenaline started rushing through her body and all she wanted was to catch her prey.
After a few hours of running it was night time and Nami saw she had ended up in Dolle Harbor. She could sense the powerful auras that were around her and she was positive this was the spot for the hunter exam. Nami still had a day until the exam was supposed to start so she decided to stop for the night. She still had Hisoka's scent so she knew he wasn't that far. He would probably be waiting for Nami or at least watching her.
Nami didn't want to stay in a hotel because she didn't have any money and hotels weren't what she preferred. She loved sleeping outside and being able to watch the stars and feel the cool breeze. A building rooftop would be much better. She decided on one above a restaurant. The food smelled delicious but Nami controlled her urge to tear the place apart.
From a distance she could feel an all to familiar bloodlust being leaked. She sighed knowing it was Hisoka's. He probably found a toy or someone that excited him. Nami shuddered at the thought. When Hisoka was in one of those crazy moods he was not fun to be around. But it didn't involve her so she let the jester have his fun he didn't need the sleep anyways.
Nami couldn't sleep because of the excitement and nervousness. Her mind drifted off to Chrollo. She was shocked he had even thought to give her this opportunity he was always the protective type over her. Nami's hands went to the necklace he had given her a few weeks back for her birthday. She hadn't taken it off since she got it. It was special to her and he was to her as well.
Eventually Nami fell asleep eager to wake up the next morning for the exam. Unknowingly to her Hisoka watched her sleep from a distance happy to see that his friend made it this far.
'She made it to the harbor. I told you she would be just fine.' He sent his text message to Chrollo before turning around to find more toys to play with.

The sun rose bright and early the next morning as did Nami. Her thin arms rose above her head as she stretched. Her bones popped and cracked.
'Time to get moving.' She thought and jumped down from the building. Nami snatched an apple from a vender for her breakfast and set out to find Hisoka. His scent lead her to a road incased by buildings. Not knowing which way to turn Nami just kept walking. There was nobody in sight but Nami could feel their presence.
From an alley way a caravan of people popped out at her. They looked like older ladies but had wooden masks on. The old woman in the center didn't have one on. Nami took a step back weary of the group of people standing infront of her. The old woman's eyes open wide and she screamed,
"It's time for the exciting multiple choice quiz!"
Nami looked at the woman and thought she was crazy. But Hisoka's scent was still strong in the direction that she came from so she knew she had to get past this lady to get on with the exam. Nami nodded encouraging the woman to continue.
"You have to pass a quiz made up of only one question" she explained.
"You'll have 5 seconds to answer and if you get it wrong you will be disqualified from this years exam." Nami nodded again. She wasn't getting exactly what the lady was getting at.
" Your bestfriend and your lover and hanging off a cliff, you can only save one. Which one do you choose to save?" Nami couldn't believe it nobody in their right mind could choose one. If the situation was real Nami would probably pick her bestfriend, she didn't believe in love. She didn't say a word once she knew that was what the lady wanted as her response. Once the five seconds were up the lady smirked at Nami and Nami started laughing.
"Geez old lady how many people looked at you like you were crazy? That's the funniest question I've heard in a long time." Nami let out between laughs.
The old lady stood up and walked to a door the was on the side.
"Only the truly intelligent ones can see through this. I'm surprised a new comer had gotten it right. Go through this door and walk for about two hours and you should reach the lon cedar tree. You will meet a couple who live under the tree. They will be your navigators to the exam site." The old lady concluded. Nami laughed again. There was no doubt there would be another trick Nami would have to see through.
"Thank you lady but maybe you should brush up on your lying skills." Nami commented and the old lady let out a hoarse laugh.
"Good luck child"
"Thank you." Nami walked through the door and down the trail eager to get the the cite of the exams first phase.
