I was back at my house, my mate sleeping in my guest room, I was sitting on the couch as far from her as possible. I sighed heavily already feeling the nuisance of the situation, one thing I couldn't deny was this girl's beauty. She was stunning, her beauty was ethereal, long lashes that tickled her cheeks, she was small, perfect size for my huge build which meant it would be easy for me to protect her and those luscious pink pouty lips of hers, begging to be kissed. I shook my head rapidly, this mate bond was already affecting me and I hated having all these mushy feelings towards some girl. Haze growled at this, he always popped up at the worst times possible

Our mate is so beautiful even you agree so! I just want to mark and claim her so bad!

I am not going to mark her neck and complete the bond. This hasn't changed anything and I feel nothing for her. I had to bring her back to our house because you know that without this wretched bond, we will become weakened. So I am keeping her around so we can gain more energy and power.

Oh really?? Are you sure it isn't because you panicked when she fainted that we ran faster than we have ever run before and safely brought her here? You werent concerned about her wellbeing? Your kidding yourself if you think that!

That is absolutely ridiculous! The last time I cared and loved a woman I couldnt protect her! I lost her because I couldn't protect her. I cannot go through that pain and suffering again, I will not care nor will I love her, investing in something that I will lose is utterly pathetic!

Haze whimpered thinking about our loss when we were young, knowing he cant argue with me on this. He has seen the pain and tears I felt back then, a traitorous tear fell down my cheek thinking about the one and only woman that I loved and I quickly brushed it away. I vowed when this girl wakes up I will treat her as a stranger and I will ensure she hates me.

My head snapped up hearing a small yawn, the girl fluttered her eyes open, God why was she cute, this made everything much more harder. Her dark brown eyes widened as she took in her surroundings and she sat up. She noticed my eyes on her long lean legs due to her dress being hitched up, so she quickly covered herself as I looked away. I cursed myself for even looking at her, I couldn't be fooled by this bond.

"Where am I? Where's Lily?!" She asked shakily.
I returned to my cold demeanor " You are at my house, at the Grey Stone Pack and I am the Alpha. If you're enquiring about your friend, she is with my Beta."

She pondered for a while, took a deep breath and smiled, her warmth was radiant " Hi my name is Emily Rose, its nice to meet you." Her voice was soft and gentle, something I despised greatly.

"My dad is the beta of Crystal Blue pack. Do you think I will be able to take Lily and go home and see my parents first? They would be worried by now. I will come back but I do need to see them please. "

I gave her a look that said I really don't give a shit. " Listen carefully, I took you because my wolf will weaken if he isn't around his mate. I really couldn't care less if your parents worry or not. I do not care about you, I do not want you, you are here because of my wolf. Dont you dare go thinking I have any feelings for you." I said harshly, I needed to get thepoint clear to her.

Tears welled up in her eyes but she still kept her smile, although it did not quite reach her eyes. " Okay" she said.
I was shocked, I basically rejected her without saying the actual words and all she said was okay. Haze was growling telling me to stop hurting her but I had to, there was no other way.
"You will be treated as a guest here and initiated into this pack in a few days, not as Luna but as a normal member of the Greystone Pack. I don't tolerate disrespect and I accept you to obey me. Got that?"
She nodded slightly, I could feel her fighting her tears. Good, the more she hated me the better.
"I will request my gamma Elijah's sister to bring you some new clothes, this will be your room. Don't you dare leave these pack lines and try to go back to your home. I will put you in the prison cells little mate."

She didnt say anything , she just looked up and smiled again nodding.
I was so confused, what the hell was wrong with this girl, she was so sweet and sunny it was going to take a lot longer to break her. Not able to stand in her presence any longer, I stormed out of the room slamming the door.

" Emily Rose" I whispered with a sigh leaning against the door outside.
