Riley's POV

You truly have to be kidding me, and just when I thought things would've never changed from good to bad. I seriously need to stop jinxing these type of moments.

They walked over to us, well they literally dragged their Delilah over to us if I do say so myself. Veronica had the biggest smile on her face, and the greatest amount of makeup as well. She even stumbled on her way over here.

"RILEY!" Veronica squealed. She jogged the rest of the way towards me and engulfed me into a huge hug. I didn't know what to do so I hugged her back?

She let me go and asked where my Delilah was, so I pointed her out towards Mikey and the cotton candy machine. When she had walked away with her Delilah it was only Ryder, Luke, and I standing there awkwardly.

"Riley I--" he started.

"Right now Luke, I'm not in the mood." I snapped. I began to rub my temples and turned towards Ryder. He gave me a look of pure confusion, then reality hit him and his expression changed.

He turned towards Luke and instantly grabbed his collar. Only to realize that he had pushed him against a wall.

"Luke huh? You're the dick that got my sister pregnant and then left her!" He shrieked.

"Ryder stop, the children!" Ashton scolded. Both he and Calum had pried Ryder off of Luke.

Luke's facial expression was a mixture of confusion and fear. He ran his hand through his hair and took a deep breath. Ryder looked at me with pure disgust.

"Why do you still hang around him Riley? You think mom would like this?" He snaps. All attention seemed to be on us now, and to be honest I didn't like it.

I grabbed Ryder's arm and dragged him into the house. I knew about two people were following us but I didn't know who.

"Ryder stop causing chaos would you?" I whisper yelled.

"I'm causing chaos?! You bring that dirtbag back into your life, after he broke your heart. And I'm the one causing chaos?!" He says sarcastically.

"I didn't bring him back into my life okay. He just walked right in, trust me I've tried to get him out." I say but mumble the last part out.

"Riley, okay breathe. Ryder how about you go speak to your niece yeah?" Ashton considers. He walks over to me and wraps me into one of those famous 'Ashton loves you' hug.

We walk out causally and try to not attract attention. That's when Del realizes her father was here.

"Daddy!" She squeals, and runs over to him. He obviously hugs her back and kisses her forehead.

"Happy birthday sweetheart, how're you liking your birthday so far?" He asks her with all focus on her.

"Much better that you're here daddy." She squeals, and then looks at me.

"Mommy look daddy's here!" She beams. She grabs Luke's hand and brings him towards me. When she realizes he backs up a bit, she shoves him into me. Since when was Del so strong?

"Talk!" Del whisper yells. I look at her like she has three heads, since when was Del matchmaker? She motions for us to talk and runs away towards Mikey. Mikey glances at me with a hurt expression, then turns away to focus on Del.

"So uh Ry-- I mean Riley, look I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to forget about the party. Trust me I had it all planned--"

"No you look Luke, I'm tired of giving you chances and truly tired of you. I'm surprised you even showed up." I snap sarcastically, obviously cutting him off. I turn away and bump into Veronica.

"Oof sorry, I uh didn't see you there." I mumble apologetically.

"Oh it's okay." She snaps, not even trying to apologize, "I was wondering if I could talk to Luke for a sec." She says glaring towards Luke.

"Uh yea--", she doesn't even allow me to finish because she instantly grabs Luke and stomps off with him. I feel a tug at my skirt only to see Delilah. But it wasn't my Delilah, it was Veronica's. So I kneel down to her level and ask her what's wrong.

"I want daddy." She grumbles. So I look around and spot Luke still being penalized by Veronica. So I point him out and tell Delilah where he is.

She snorts, "that's not daddy, I want real daddy." She cries.
