Oh Robin.

Chapter 9

• Bella's POV •

I took my seat next to Rach who's driving today instead of me. The doctor said I can't drive either because much movement can damage my ribs all over again. We were on our way to Manchester for robin's match against liverpool. It's going to be really exciting since I'm going to watch football and look out for the man that I'm dating. It feels so different.

I'm also taking my friends with me since they both all support Manchester United and they used to watch matches together while we were in Paris and I would just sit there and look completely lost. I really need to start keeping up with football from now on.

"I can't believe you're dating a footballer. Do you know how big that is?!" Suha said sounding a bit too excited.
"I guess but what I don't understand is why would he choose me?" I asked, ready for an answer.
"Is that even a question? Look at yourself" Jess said in a obvious tone.
"You are you and he obviously fell for you" suha sweetly said.

"You girls are too sweet. I love you all" I said and tried to give them a hug but they were in the back seat.

The drive was going to take about four hours since Manchester is a bit far from London. As rach drove we played the radio and listened to whatever is popular today. The Arctic monkey's song "cornerstone" came up and Jess and suha immediately went berzerk. They're really big fans of the arctic monkeys, their love for them is unreal. They sang at the top of their lungs and danced as our car shook. I quickly joined in and started singing -

She was close, close enough to be your ghost
But my chances turned to toast
When I asked her if I could call her your name

After four hours of driving, singing and eating junk food we finally arrived in Old trafford. I pulled out VIP tickets that Robin gave to me and handed them to the Ticket checker in front of the stadium. The process took about thirty minutes because the amount of fans there is unbelievably huge! It explains a lot since this game was a very important one, liverpool vs Manchester United.

"Wow this is amazing" Jess said and we all agreed. I didn't expect old trafford to be this magnificent. There were endless rows of seats, a huge pitch and beautiful architecture. The capacity of the stadium fits 75,731 people. I couldn't wait for kickoff.

We took our seats who were two rows off the pitch which made it easier for Robin to catch a glimpse of me. I took out my phone and saw that I had a text from Robin.

Robin❤️- Are you here yet love?
Me - I am! Omg the stadium is amazing! Good luck today xx
Robin❤️- Thanks love<3 I'll try to score for you ;)
Me - That's so sweet of you<3
Robin❤️- I'll see you when I'm on the pitch ;)
Me- can't wait xx <3

The game didn't start out very well for us. Liverpool dominated possession and they were already getting shots on target but of course they weren't successful. I felt the atmosphere getting intense around me and my friends were already screaming their heads off.

I spotted Robin and he winked at me. I felt my heart sink and I started blushing. Oh lord.

"I saw that" Rachel said smirking.
"Oh shut up" I said jokingly. The first exciting moment for Manchester United came when Antonio Valencia made a run on the wing and passed the LFC midfielders. He passed the ball to wayne Rooney and rooney effortlessly banged the ball into the net. We all shouted "goal!" And the stadium shook.

The second opportunity came when ashley young sped up at the ball at the left wing and crossed it over to the penalty box. The ball touched Robin a little and came to Juan Mata's head as he headed the ball in. The stadium once again shook with excitement and disappointment from both fans.

"Oh my gosh my love Juan mata scored it too" Rachel said and I couldn't help but laugh at her comment. She's a huge Juan Mata fan apparently.

The whistle blew for halftime and the players headed back to the dressing room. My friends looked like they were enjoying and I am too. I'm really loving football now, never thought that would happen.

"You should go see Robin in the dressing room. They let people do that right?" Suha said and turned to Jess.

"I don't know. She has a special pass and I'm sure Robin told them that already" Jess explained.

"Okay I'll go try" I said and headed towards the exit. I was stopped by a man and just made things harder already.

"Where do you think you're going miss?" The man bluntly said and I pulled out my pass.

"My name is Bella Hoffman. I'm Robin van persie's girlfriend/ish. It's complicated but can you let me in?" I practically pleaded to him.

"Let me ask him myself" he said and headed into the dressing room. I waited for him and I started to bite my nails. An annoying habit that I wish I don't have. A few minutes later he came out with Robin and he came over & embraced me with his sweaty body.

"Hi" I said smiling
"How are you liking the match?" He asked with his beautiful smile.
"It's amazing. I'm so proud of you" I said giggling.
"Thank you. I'm still going to score for you" he promised and I nodded.
"It's okay if you don't" I said awkwardly and he smiled.
"I'll still try" he said and kissed me on the cheek. Someone called his name and he had to go. I wished him luck and jogged back to my friends.

There was only about twenty minutes left in the game and liverpool were trying hard to get back in the game. Juan mata made a run through the midfield and passed the defenders. He chiped the ball to Robin and he headed it in the net. He hugged the players for celebration and then he blew a kiss towards me.

"Awwww Bella!" My friends said and put a huge smile on my face. I was red hot on the outside but happy on the inside. The man can keep promises. It was an amazing moment.
