My level of excitement knew no bounds when I stepped out of my car. I couldn'tjust believe it that I was seriously going for the excursion, afterall 'This is my first' more than one day' solo trip - to be more precise, School Excursion. On reaching my school gate, my dad helped me get down from the car and carry the luggage up till the auditorium.I exchanged quick greeting glances with my aloted teacher in charge Mrs Frost.
She gave me my attendance and gave a pep talk on how I should be a quiet kid when I am out in the public while I looked around in the crowd to figure out someone of my hilarious friend circle. Dragging the suitcase and the backpack along, I spotted Ashme who was busy munching on a sandwich. I waved her she looked from beneath the glasses and smiled back like and idiot with aa abrupt "Hey!".
I came up to her and snatched away a sandwich from her tiffin box causing her to become upset over the loss of her sandwich and pout like a cute little puppy. "Henlo! Alone?" I asked her. Ashme gulped down her bite, " Yeah! I had a talk with Vas, she's gonna be here at any moment." "O" I nodded and asked "What about the others?" She patted the ground next to her where I made myself comfortable putting my earphones inside my backpack. "IDK" was all that Ashme had answered me with a crazy jerk. "Nice" I rolled my eyes and took up my cellphone to catch someone online from anyone of the four and caught up Mani there. As I kept on munching the stolen sandwich I texted her -

|| Me : "Hey! Where are you!!??"
She : "You there already! Well imma not getting my favourite pair of shoes. I need them badly. I bought them just for this trip!!"
Me : " You gonna get late bud!"
She : "Doesn't matter, let me grab those stupid pair of shoes who chose to play Peek-A-Boo with me in this early morning🥺. Bro, these shoes destroyed my chirpy mood!!"
Me: I am speechless Sweety!😑 ||

I locked the phone's screen and looked up from it with an utter look of frustration painted across my face. Ashme raised the eyebrow "what?" She asked."Mani is out for hunting her 'favourite pairs of shoes'"as I said this sarcastically, I threw my hands up frantically in the air in utter frustration where as Ashme choked on her last bite of sandwich while muffling her laughter. "Not funny bro!" I screeched. "Sorry fren" she stuck her tongue out and held her ears as a gesture of her fake apology.
From the crowd the familiar deep female voice enquired "Why's Ashme sorry?" "Because she's sorry" and we looked up to see a grinning Vas. She just looked hilarious when she was jeering her all 32 teeths at both of us. "Anyways Mayu and Angy are gonna turn up at any moment now. I had contacted them a couple of minutes ago." she said while sitting down beside me. "She's an useful piece of shit. I swear!" I piped up to both of them as I pointed Vas. We got deeply engrossed in chatting about all sorts of weird topics and got busy sharing our excitements and within next 20 minutes the five of us - Angy, Ashme,Mayu,Vas and lastly Me,were creating a horrendous raucous in the auditorium hall.
"I swear that I am highly disappointed with the discipline of my shoes" Mani complained as she emerged from the crowd after a long 45 minute time span. Our teacher in charge came up to us to hand us our bus numbers and the workers took our suitcases to load it in the alloted bus. After a bit of heated arguments I managed to get myself a window seat and the others placed themselves accordingly. As we made ourselves comfortable, we got busy in attending our parents and waving them goodbyes for the last time in four days.
I had a tough time finding my dad. He was simply looking everywhere but my seat. "What kind of searching is this?" I asked Vas who was standing beside me. She laughed and then told Angy to call him to me. She actually had to grab his attention with a lot of difficulties and bring him to my seat. I gave him a sharp look. He gave me a bulky smile and looked at me sheepishly as our bus started to move and we were off for our destination.
