Smurfstorm's POV

It was a normal day in Smurf Village, I was just doing my usual patrol of the place, making sure everything was in place, when I heard someone sobbing somewhere. It wasn't just a quiet sob, it was more of an ugly cry with gasping for air.

I followed the sound to where it was coming from, trying to find it. When I rounded a corner to the village square, I saw where it was coming from: Smurfette's house.

I knew she was a bit emotional at times, but this was something else. She didn't sound okay, either, so I went over to see what was wrong, being one of her friends and all.

I knocked on the door, hoping she would answer.

"Smurfette?" I asked her, "you okay in there?"

"GO AWAY!" she yelled, sadness in her voice.

I stumbled back at that statement, shocked by the words. I straightened myself back up and opened to door to see her. Her room was a mess, the shelves were busted, sheets were ripped off the bed, and she was just laying there on the floor, bawling her eyes out.

"Woah, what's going on?" I asked, kneeling down to comfort her.

"I don't wanna talk about it!" Smurfette said, looking at me, her face covered in tears.

"Hey, you can tell me," I said, looking her in the eye, "what's wrong?"

Smurfette wiped away her tears, trying to calm herself. After a minute, she got a grip.

"Hefty dumped me," she said, sadly.

That part left me shocked and wide-eyed.

"What!?" I asked, still bewildered, "Why?"

"He said it wasn't working between us, and that I was better off without him," she said, tearing up, "I mean that's just ridiculous! We were just fine and he dumped me like that out of the blue!"

"I'm so sorry," I said, trying to comfort her.

"What am I supposed to do now?" she asked, tears falling from her face.

"Hey, it's okay," I said, hugging her and holding her close, "I'm here, I'm here."

I just sat there with as she cried, holding her close, feeling my friend's pain. I knew what this felt like, I just hoped I could help her, because she was my friend. Little did I know, we would become more.
