Smurfette's POV

Stormy and I just looked at Papa and Willow in nervousness. They both seemed angry in their own way, but Papa was the greater of the two.

"What. Were. You. Thinking!?" Papa asked in an angry manner.

"Oh, boy," we both said concurrently.

"Do you have any idea how long we've been searching for you?" Willow asked, still angry that we ran away.

"Okay," I told them, trying to calm them, "I understand you're a bit upset-."

"UPSET!?" Papa yelled, marching right up to us, "first, you disobey my orders about the two of you dating, and then you two run off and build this giant house, and then you actually pick a wedding date!?"

"Yes, because it is happening, Pops," Stormy told him.

"Like Smurf it is!" Papa yelled angrily, "when we get back home, you two are both banned from dating for infinity!"

"Okay, Papa, that's a bit too far," Willow interjected, trying to calm him.

"No, it's far enough!" he said, turning back to us, "I have put up with enough of your antics, and since I am the leader of the Smurfs that means you do not get to undermine my authority behind my back!"

After that, I had had enough. I grabbed Papa and pushed him against the wall, an angry look in my eye.

"LISTEN TO ME YOU BLUE SANTA CLAUS! I HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU! YOU ARE STUBBORN, ANNOYING, AND A TOTAL CONTROL FREAK TRYING TO DOMINATE EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES ALL BECAUSE ITS NOT HOW YOU WANT IT! WELL GUESS WHAT, IT ENDS HERE; I AM MARRYING STORMY, WE ARE GONNA HAVE A GOOD LIFE, AND MAYBE RAISE A KID OR TWO ALONG THE WAY! AND I CANNOT DO THAT IF I HAVE A DISAPPROVING PARENT HANGING OVER AND HATING ME MY WHOLE LIFE ALL BECAUSE I'M A LESBIAN! SO CAN YOU JUST SHUT UP, GET IT TOGETHER, AND ACCEPT IT ALREADY!!?"

With that, I dropped Papa to the floor, where he just looked shocked. Willow and Stormy were shocked as well, they had never seen that side of me before. I just felt both angry and relieved, I needed to get that out.

Papa stood there speechless for a while, before finally speaking.

"Smurfette...I...I had no idea that's how you felt," he said.

"Yeah, well, it is!" I said, storming out of the house. I just needed some time to deal with this, alone.

An hour later, I sat there on a log bench, thinking to myself. I knew how stubborn Papa and Willow could be, I had just had enough of it.

I sat there in silence for a moment until I heard a voice from behind.

"Room for two?" the voice called.

It was Papa. I didn't even have to look to know. I was in no mood to talk about this.

"What do you want?" I asked angrily. I was in no mood for his rants.

Papa just sighed and sat up beside me. He could tell how hurt I was, but I didn't expect that to help.

"Look...before you say anything, I just want you to know that...I'm sorry," he said, softly.

"That's a very small start," I said, still angry.

Papa shrugged that off and pushed forward.

"Look," he said, "It was wrong for me to behave like that around you two, and I said a lot of things I shouldn't have said. Many of which definitely seem to have made a negative impact."

"That's better," I said, turning to look at him now.

"It's just that...this whole thing came out of nowhere so hard and fast, and I was...totally unprepared for that."

"I know," I told him, "and I'm sorry we kept it secret for this long. We were both just scared. Scared you wouldn't want us anymore."

"I can see why you would think that," Papa told me, "and I don't blame you for running away either. Now that I think about it, if it were me and Willow, I would have done the same thing."

We just sat in silence for a while, until I spoke again.

"I'm sorry, Papa. About everything. About my relationship with Stormy, the wedding, the running away. It's just that, she's the first real person who makes me feel like I'm capable of so much more, and the kind of person who is as sweet as she is strong. And to be honest, if I had to choose between my old life and being with Stormy...then frankly, Papa, I choose her. I choose the girl I love."

"I know," putting his hand on my shoulder, "which is why as your Papa I will not stand in the way of your happiness anymore."

My eyes went wide. I couldn't believe it.

"You mean it?" I asked, suspiciously.

"Go make your own family, kid," Papa told me.

Then, out of the bushes, Stormy walked forward with Willow.

"So, what did he say?" Stormy asked.

I walked over to her, wrapping my arms around her and giving her an excited look.

"Let's get married!" I said, giving Stormy a kiss.

It was official. We were getting married. True, there would still be a lot of explaining this to the others, but it didn't matter now. All that mattered was our love, something no one could take away.
