"We're going now, don't be too long!" Edd shouted through the bedroom door. Tom replied with a simple okay as the other three left their hotel suite.

Matt thought of a fun vacation idea of spending a few nights at a nice hotel with a pool and sauna. He booked the suite and they divided the pay evenly. The room they rented was huge and had 3 bedrooms in total, one which Tom took for himself.

Tom opened the door a few minutes later as he stepped out into the main living room, checkered swim trunks with a soft towel draped around his neck. He stopped in the kitchen quickly grabbing a string cheese, removing the wrapper and throwing his flip-flops on, making his way out of the door of their room. The end of the hallway had a choice of either the steps or the elevator. Being on the 11th floor of the hotel, he didn't want to tire himself out with the stairs.

The doors opened slowly with a soft ding and Tom took his place inside. Reaching down to press the first floor button. As the doors closed and he started to descend, the elevator suddenly jolted and completely stopped on the 9th floor. Tom presses the first floor button a few times, followed by the one that should have opened the doors. Nothing seemed to work.

"What the hell." Tom cussed under his breath. He took a few deep breaths before grabbing his phone out of his pocket, attempting to ring Edd at first, but to his luck there was no answer. He tried again, with Edd and Matt's numbers, multiple times.

Edd and Matt were long already in the pool, enjoying themselves as they completely disregarded their phones.

Frantic for some sort of response, Tom calls Tord. The phone rings for a few seconds before a very confused Tord answers.

"Hello?" Tord asks, laying relaxed in a cushioned chair near the pool. His left arm crossed over his chest, legs somewhat spread, and a mango punch smoothie to the table on his right, he was disturbed from his calm state.

"Fuck... Listen I'm in the elevator, it stopped randomly and the doors aren't opening. Please, just get me the hell outta here!" Tom raised his voice. Anyone would be able to tell he was extremely distressed. Heavy breathing was heard on Tord's end, he knew that he wasn't taking this situation well.

"Hey, calm down, just wait a second." Tord said softly, trying his best to be kind and gentle with him. He stood from his chair and called for Edd and Matt who were in the pool. Once getting their attention and explaining what happened, they all made their way to the front desk.

"Shit! Tord!" Shouting, Tom begins to beg Tord for help. The elevator creaks and shakes, the sound of it could be heard by Tord.

"No, listen! He's trapped, he's on the 9th floor. Fucking do something!" Tord slammed his hands on the counter, leaning towards the lady at the front desk who clearly wasn't sure of what to do. She was going back and forth with other workers, asking what to do, shaking their heads with confused looks on their faces. Tord became increasingly worried as Tom continued to make small noises of distress.

Tom repeated his name, asking Tord to get him out over and over. He was never one to be so out forward with his emotions, especially asking for help. This was a huge deal, this was something that broke Tom, scared him deathly.

Tord leaves the counter as he sprints up the stairs to the 9th floor. His legs were fast, skipping 2 steps as a time as he ran up. The slight burning in his thighs didn't faze him, he knew he had to just get to Tom quickly before it got worse.

The hallway, although being short, felt like it went on forever as Tord ran to the elevator. Every second that he wasn't out, was a second wasted. He pressed his body against the door as he banged on it, signaling to Tom that he was there. Tom screamed as he felt the elevator drop slightly.

"Tom!" Tord yelled. Tom began to breathe frantically as he clung to the side bars in the elevator, calling out to Tord.

"Tom, Tom listen. You're going to be okay.. I'm right here, just please, take some deep breaths.." His voice was smooth, slow, despite being anxious himself. He gripped the phone tighter, listening to Tom as he heard him slow his breathing just slightly.

"Tord!" Edd was heard yelling as he approached with a small group of people. They had crowbars and other tools, more than likely to pry open the doors. Edd placed a hand on Tord's shoulder, pulling him back slightly as the workers tried opening the door.

Tord shoved his arm away as he ran back to the door, "Tom-" A small yelp was heard through the phone. A loud snap echoed from both the phone and the other side of the elevator door. It was loud, shocking, panic inducing.

"Tord! Fuck, please!" He cried. It was heartbreaking. The door opened, only slightly, loud creaking and snapping from the force. Tord shoved his hand through, reaching for Tom. Tom didn't move, he didn't want to move, he couldn't move.

"Tom, come here, come here.." He waved his hand towards Tom, who reached for it before hearing another loud noise. He screamed and leapt towards him as the doors were threw open.

The wires snapped and the elevator fell down the 9 floors, hitting the bottom hard with a huge crash.

Tom held onto Tord's shoulders tightly, digging his fingernails into his flesh as he quietly wept and whimpered. His breaths were uneven, heavy, and scarred. Tord wrapped his left arm around him, dropping his phone to keep himself propped up. He took deep breaths and rubbed his back slowly.

"It's okay, you're okay now." He said softly. A wave of sorrow engulfed him and he sat up more to hug him fully. He shoved his face into Tom's fluffy hair, seemingly misplaced and pulled at probably due to the anxiety. He moved a hand to his hair, stroking it, running his fingers through it.

Edd and Matt knelt down next to the two. It was quiet for a while, not an uncomfortable silence though, a calm one.

Tom raised his head more to put his face into the crevice of Tord's neck. The hot breath made Tord shiver slightly, he could feel his nose and lips lightly pressing against his skin. It wasn't exactly a romantic or sexual gesture, but a thankful and safe feeling one. He did feel safe, he felt as though he would never feel unsafe again as long as he was in Tord's arms.

Slowly, Tom released his grip on his shoulders, noticing the deep indents that his fingernails left. There was no doubt that it would leave a mark; Tom apologized.

"Don't, it's okay. It's not a big deal." Tord reassured him. It wasn't long before Edd and Matt waved off the workers, thanking them as the other two were busy.

Tord attempted to move to help Tom up, but he only received a whine and a pull of his arm to not let go. Tord shook his head and sighed, there wasn't gonna be movement from him for a while. Only minutes were given to Tom before Tord began to stand again, this time holding Tom. He only gave a small gasp in return, accepting the kindness and help.

They made their way back to their room, Matt asking if Tom would be okay, Edd complaining about the reaction from the front desk, Tord reassuring that it would all be okay, and Tom holding onto him tightly, not once thinking about letting go.
