Ashers Pov

I went into my grandfathers office earlier today and I found something. There was a binder marked with a date. 5-3-1978 it said so I opened the binder and I found pictures of Nathan and Rick together before their fallout. As I was looking, I found a newspaper article.

5-3-1978
Nathan Ryan and Rick Charleston are no longer friends. Charleston and Ryan became friends in highschool and studied business together at Harvard. They moved to New York together and decided to launch their own finance companies. The pair went on trips,partied and more until allegedly Charleston has an affair with Ryan's college girlfriend. At age 30, they cut all ties with each other and haven't spoken publicly about the situation.

Damn, that's gotta hurt.

I decided to take a picture of the article and pack everything away and get back and call Tessa.

"Wow, that's messy." she says in shock
"Yeah, so now what?"
"I'm not sure. I always thought they got into a disagreement about something related in business but now I can truly understand why Nathan cut ties with Rick, I would too." she says handing me back my phone.

"Yeah, anyways it's getting late and I know we have our differences and all but, would you like to grab dinner?"
Why did I just ask that?
Why was I hoping she would say yes?
"Sure!" she says
Damn, didn't expect that.
"Okay cool! Let's go!"
We end up taking my car driving up to this fancy local restaurant."
"I come here often and the food here is great." I say as we walk into the restaurant
"It looks nice in here, i'm surprised I haven't tried it yet!"
We then sit down and the waitress asked us what we would like to drink
"I'll have a diet coke please." Tessa says
"I'll have the same."  I say
"Okay! I'll be back with your drinks."
She then leaves and Tessa and I look at the menu.
"Find something you like?" I say looking up
"Um yeah, I think i'm going to have the shrimp pasta. You?" she says
"I'm going to have the pesto alfredo pasta."
The waitress comes back to us and takes our order and leaves.
"So Asher, tell me about yourself, except for the fact that you're arrogant." she says sarcastically
I laugh "Well, I went to college at Berkeley and I went to a lot of parties and hookups and now i recently took over Nathan's company, You?"
"I went to USC and wanted to become a teacher so I cane back here and actually today, I got my teaching job." She says with a smile
Didn't know she would be the teacher type.
"Well let's cheers for you're new job." I say with a laugh. We then laugh and eat our food.
We eventually go outside and into the car and drive off until we notice something.
"Hey Asher that guy has been following us for a good 5 minutes." Tessa says
Shit, I forgot there was paparazzi sometimes.
I manage to lose them and we head back to the company since Tessa's car is their.
"Not going to lie to you Asher. I had a really good time tonight."
I'm stunned
"Surprisingly, so did I."
She laughs and then heads off to her car and drives off.
I then go home and call it a night.
