I get up off the bench in pain. Severe pain as I see Sariah come out the door. She looks at me as tears roll down my eyes and says, "What you crying bout now? You always crying bout something. Ya mama, not having money, this that. What the duck are you crying for?" "My fucking father died. That's what I'm crying about you fucking idiot. Get the fuck out my face!" Sa says, "Well I had to assume it was about some bullshit. You always crying about your situation. But you didn't even know your dad, so why you crying bout this shit?" I get up and was about to say something really disrespectful but Zuri held me down. She turns around and says, "I've seen you literally neglect this man so fucking much and I'm bout fucking sick and tired of it. All he talks about is you and how much he fucking loves you and you just go and fuck around behind his back. That's shits really sad. Yeah I slept with him last night. We didn't do anything but sleep. I wasn't gonna do anything because I had respect for you, regardless of how bad you wanted you wanted to beat me up. I've been hearing you want your round for so damn long and sis you could have been done got it. But now ain't the mf time because your "boyfriend" in your eyes, is over here mourning the loss of his father that no one ever even told him about. Didn't know of him. I've learned more about him in 3 days  than you have learned in months knowing him. That's disgusting. Now go the fuck on. I'll sit here and comfort him and actually care for him unlike the lil bitch that he calls a girlfriend." Sa looks infuriated. She goes for the swing. Matt grabs her before she could connect. "LET ME HIT THAT BITCH! LET ME FUCKING GO YOU BUM!" He put her down as me and Zuri, Zaria, and Kobe walked away. "I thank you Zuri! You've been there for me these past three days in such an unprecedented way. I can't thank you enough. I've been with Sa for 6 months now and have never seen this much affection. Just means a lot for you to do this." Zuri responds with, "I see someone who actually cares about me and is willing to talk and help of they could. You're such a nice and generous guy and would put your all on the line to do make someone happy. That's why I show what I show." Zaria, Kobe, and Matt grab tissues from my bag and wipe the tears off their face after listening to that! Me and Zuri laugh at them. "Well Unc just sent me, Elle and Ella a text saying that the funeral is Friday and it's in ChiTown. I won't be here, but if anyone wants to come, y'all are cool to come with." Zuri and Zaria said, "I'm down to go. Just come pick us up." "Alright well me and Zuri need to head to Human A&P so we'll meet back up with y'all later and we can talk about the whole thing!" Zaria says, "Love you bestie and cousin!" Matt and Kobe dap me up as they leave for their class. Zuri stops me while I'm walking and gives me a hug. She says, "I really am beginning to like you. You're so sweet and generous and that makes my soul bling." I rebuttal with, "I like you too, but I'm just in a bind with Sa right now. It's a lot. But we gotta meet Sa tonight to talk about everything. And she said Jai coming to. Be ready to throw hands. Cuz imma defend you. I can't defend somebody who won't do the same for me!" "Bet. And if Jai comes for you, he got something coming his way!" She grabs me and hugs me again. Then she holds my hand. Boy I bout lost it. Her hands is so soft. Back to the big focus. Me and her walk into class holding hands and Mrs. Rupee pulls down her glasses and lights up. I sit down and lay my head down and Zuri whispers in my ear, "It's gonna be ok babe. Just keep your head up and keep pushing. I'll take note for you. Just let me know if you want me to." "It's fine love. I'll push through. I ain't gonna mane you do that extra work! Thank you tho love." She just smiles as she opens her bag. She begins to call role.  "Keiona Sterling" Cousin said she was here. "Davion Letterman". I just raise my hand. "Zuri Letter- Catchings!" I rose my head and smirked and she looked back at me. That Mrs. Rupee is crazy as hell. Zuri just looked at me as she blushed. She starts assigning groups for the year. "Aaliyah, Sarah, and Julie. Y'all are in a group together. Lemme change this one real quick. Davion, Zuri and Keiona you all 3 are in a group together." I hit her with a salute and she hit me with one back. We got in our groups to discuss who was doing what in our dissections. Was something slight and we all left class. Now it's time for lunch. Me and Zuri walk to her car and we sit down. I say, "So what we eating love? I'll pay for it." "Actually I'll pay for it. Let's go get some wings from Wingstop." "Bet." She pulls up at the right Wingstop. She ain't know but my Aunt Kim is the manager here so I always get free wings 😌. We walk in and Que, one of my moms coworkers say, "Wasgood my brother, and oh. BOW HELLO!" I start dying and my Aunt Kim walks out the back and gives me a hug and says, "Hey baby. What you want? And hey Mrs. Lady!!" Zuri greets her back with a "Hi Mrs. Kim, always nice to see you!" "I got you both! I know what you want D, and what would you want love?" "Honey Barbeque with fries ma'am!" "They'll be something in about 15 minutes y'all! Have a seat!" We sit down and start talking and then I see two familiar heads pop through the door. "So I guess we meet earlier than expected I guess?" Jai snickers. "I guess so." I get up and cover Zuri as I see Sariah come through the back door. "So you was lying. It's way more than you was just sleeping with her." Jai looks at me and charges at me. He grabs my shirt and pulls me to him and says, "So you sleeping with my girl? HUH YOU LITTLE BITCH?!" Shit finna get hectic.
