        "Sit down and tell us why. You know this ain't you Davion! What you got going on?"
said my Uncle Jo. "Me and ZuZu walk in the office and I see Jai in Sariah's arms and me and Zuri thought it was a good time to get them back. So me and her started kissing. She really initiated, but I ain't tryna rat her out or nun like that. But Jai got mad and pushed me so I punched him. He hit me then I hit him with an elbow. Then I slammed him on his head and laid a few more punches. ZuZu and Mr. Clyde had to pull me off of him." "Well damn son, it was just about time you defended yourself. That boy been bullying you all your life and you finally got his ass back." Aunt Kim said. "That's the last thing I would expect you to say ma. I thought you was finna beat the shit out of me. I know how you are about this typa stuff." "Well, son I know how long you been dealing with it. You shoulda been done beat his ass. Now gone cross the road help yo boo thangs mom and dad out!" I laugh as I give her a kiss on the cheek and dap up uncle Josiah. I walk outside and see them across the road moving in couches and shit and I see Jai's black 'Maro pull up and he's crying as they tell him to leave. I walk across the road as he drives by. He just keeps driving. I walk over and Mrs. Catchings warms me with a huge, embracing hug. She says, "Zuri talks about you all the time. Even around Jai. So what's up with you and her?" "Well, Mrs. Catchings, if you didn't already know, Jai has been a bully to me all of my life." "WHAT?! All this time and you never bothered to come by my house and let me know?" "Well, Mrs. Catchings-" "Just call me Momma Catchings!" "Okay Momma Catchings, I just figured out where you lived at earlier this week. Zuri didn't care for me until then..." "She should have been done found you before now. You're too sweet of a boy to not want to be with. So what's the verdict with yall two? I already know you're more than friends based on your suspension from school..." "Wait, how you know about that?" I imply. She says, "Like I said, all she talks about you. She called me right after you left from school to here." "That's cute..." as I begin to blush and Mrs. and Mr. Catchings started laughing. "Well, it's 10 right now, and I'm going to get her at 12 so let's do some moving y'all!" "Let's go." They both said. So we start moving in the couches and walk into this big ass house along with a few more people they hired to do so. So we were walking this couch upstairs to the lounge room and I walk past Zuri's room and I see her little brother, Zyair. I drop the couch off and walk into the room and say, "Wassup lil bro, what you playing?" He smiles back at me and says, "I'm playing Minecraft. Who are you? You aren't mean are you? You look nice, but looks are deceiving. Very deceiving." "Lil guy, how old are you and where did you learn this language from?" "I'm 7 and I'm just smart. I can't help it." I just laugh as I give him a fist bump and sit down beside him for a minute. He hands me the controller and says, "Build a house, a small cuz I know you need to help my mom and dad. Nahh never mind but come back when we're fully moved in and we can play some games together." "I got you bro bro." He gets up and gives me a hug on my legs. He whispers, "You're nothing like Jai." I just smile and walk out. I saw Mr. and Mrs. Catchings downstairs making out on a couch that's barely entered the door. Now I see where Zuri gets that shit from. I start pushing the couch out the doorway and they just stop and stare at me and and I just wave with a notion of like it's cool yall good. Mr. Catchings gets up and says, "Boy you are one funny guy! It's nice to meet you son." as he shakes my hand. "Nice to meet you too Mr. Catchings. Sorry that I take ZuZu away from y'all all night, it's just sometimes she's the only happiness I get in life." "Damn, son. That's fine. As long I know she's in good hands bud, that's all that matters. I'm glad you see good in her because we taught her to be that way. She reflects us. I'm glad she makes you feel good. And I'm for sure using that nickname." I laugh and say, "Well it's almost 12 so I'm gonna head up to the school and pick her up. Don't know what they are gonna say about me coming to get her but we'll see." "I'll give em a call right now Davion. I'll make something happen." He calls up to the school and says, "Hey, this is Zuri Catching's father, Donnell, and I'm calling to check her out for 12:00 and she'll be riding home with Davion Letterman." "That's fine, we'll let her know. She'll be headed that way at 12:00!" "Have a great day!" He hangs up the phone and says, "Just that easy you see?" I laugh as I head to my car. I turn the key and I hit the gas as I speed off around the corner. I pull up outside the school and see her with the biggest smile on her face. She hops in the car and says, "To our quiet spot for a minute! I wanna give something to you." I don't know but I'm driving because I'm interested! Let's see where this goes.
