I've been sitting here for a while waiting for Elijah to wake up. I had to go upstairs with Stefan until he fell asleep to sneak back downstairs again. I couldn't have him worrying and knowing until Elijah wakes up for us to talk. I have no idea how this is going to go down but I'm hoping it will go better than expected. My eyes were getting heavier as I sat there waiting. Just as my eyes closed for a second Elijah gasped and his bones began to crack. I got up and went over to him and once his eyes met mine he froze.

"Katerina," he spoke making me shake my head.

"No I'm not-" Elijah gasped as he got up coughing.

"I can't breathe. What's happened to me? I can't be in this house," he stuttered and I helped him stay up from falling to the floor. Then I remembered.

"Shit. You're not invited in," I told him as he keeled over in pain.

"You need to get me out of here," before I could do anything to help him he sped into the wall trying to find his out. He groaned in pain but sped out of the basement. Fuck.

I quickly ran up the stairs following him. Sunlight had started to peak through the window. Damn I've been down there all night waiting for Elijah to wake up. And now that's he awake I probably lost him. I sighed in relief when I saw him kneeling outside of the front door that was now wide open. He noticed me standing there looking at him from inside and sped to me, just to get stopped by the invisible force.

"What happened?" he asked and I put my fingers to my lips pointing to the upstairs and then to my ears.

"I'll tell you, but not here. Can I trust you?" I whispered and he tilted his head.

"Can I trust you?" he whispered back. I sighed quietly and held up the dagger I killed him with. I handed it to him and he took it from me carefully. He stared at me still unsure but I knew what my intentions were with him unlike he did. And he can trust me.

I turned around and walked back downstairs grabbing a few blood bags from the cooler. Hopefully these will make him less grouchy. I made my way back upstairs and Elijah looked down at the blood bags in my hands. He's hungry. I can tell by the look on his face. I stepped past him and walked down to the car, hopefully starting it won't wake Stefan and Damon. I turned the car on with the keys that were still stuck in the ignition. Elijah followed me and got into the passenger seat of the car. I looked over at him and handed him the blood bags. He took no time to rip one open and start drinking.

After driving for about 10 minutes I pulled over to the side of the road. I turned off the car and turned to face him.

"Where did you get the dagger?" he immediately asked.

"I'll tell you everything, but we have to work together, Elijah. I need your word... for real this time,"

"You're ability to make demands have long passed," he went on making me sigh.

"I wouldn't call it a demand, I'm offering you my help. And in return I want yours," I looked at him to see he was trying to look anywhere but me. I knew he was still mad and I honestly don't blame him.

"And why should I even consider this?"

"Well for starters, you haven't killed me. And we need each other's help to kill Klaus," I started and my phone began to ring. I looked at the contact, Stefan. I looked at Elijah and he nodded to it so I answered.

"Where are you? And where's Elijah?"

"He's right here and I'm fine. I need you to trust me, Stefan,"

"But I don't trust him, Tessa. Tell me where you are," Stefan demanded.

"I trust him, Stefan. Elijah is a noble man and he knows I would be incredibly stupid to turn against him. I proved myself taking out the dagger. Let me do this," I didn't say anything else and hung up the phone looking at Elijah. He raised his eyebrows in surprise at my response. "I'm not here with bad intentions, Elijah. Klaus is here,"
