Bloodlines

"BONNIE!" I screamed running towards the ring of fire she was standing in. Stefan caught me and stopped me from running to her. What is even happening right now? How was the ring of Fire even made?

"NO!" I heard Damon scream as Bonnie threw what looks like her necklace into the air. The necklace exploded into thin air and sparks flew from the sky and onto Bonnie as she closed her eyes. The fire then went out and smoke filled the air and our lungs. Everything went so fast as Damon sped over to Bonnie and grabbed her neck sinking his teeth into her. I screamed her name as Stefan ran over to Damon pulling him off before he killed her. I ran over to Bonnie and my jaw dropped as I watched Bonnie fall unconscious. Stefan dropped to his knees and put his ear next to her heart.

"She's alive, barely. I can save her," Stefan said and bit his wrist putting it to her mouth. I looked over at Damon and saw he was already staring at me. His eyes were dead and bloodshot as he looked at me. I never seen him like this before and it kind of scared me. I decided to keep my eyes away from Damon and I watched as Stefan healed her and she woke looking very confused. Thank god she's okay.

"Her neck, it's healing," I laughed in disbelief.  I looked back over to Damon one last time and saw his face actually held regret. I don't know if it was regret or if it was sadness. Maybe both.

"I don't understand, Tessa. What happened to me. He attacked me, and his face was like..." I watched Bonnie's eyes widened as more tears fell down her face. I grabbed her shoulders and looked into her eyes.

"How do you feel? Are you ok?" I asked removing her hair from her neck looking at it. It was pretty much healed and I am so thankful for Stefan. She nodded her mouth opening.

"I'm fine. It's just his blood, I don't-" Bonnie stopped and looked behind me with complete fear. I turned around and saw Stefan.

"I'm not going to hurt you," Stefan nodded and she looked back at me.

"What's going on, Tessa?" Bonnie stuttered.

"I'll explain everything, ok? Let's just get out of here," I nodded and her eyes watered more as she looked back at Stefan. I grabbed her shoulder forcing her to look at me.

"It's okay, Bonnie, trust me. He is not going to hurt you," I promised and she reluctantly let me guide her to the car. I helped her in the front seat and closed the door. 

"Is she in danger of becoming-" I started remember what happens in the movies. Stefan shook his head interrupting me.

"No, she has to die with my blood in her system. So keep an eye on her tonight and make sure nothing happens, and once it leaves her system, she'll be fine," Stefan nodded and I looked away from him into the woods.

"I'm going to tell her the truth," I said and he nodded.

"You sure?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Yes, Stefan. I'm sure, she has a right to know, about what happened. And no, I'm not having you compel her, or Damon. Definitely, not him. I don't trust him at all, not after what he did. This crossed the line, he crossed the line," I sighed and Stefan kept his mouth shut. He then opened it seconds later.

"Tessa, I'm sorry, after everything that has happened, I need to leave," he said looking at the ground. My jaw dropped and I looked at him. He avoided my stare and I felt my heart break.

"No, Stefan. What are you talking about?" I asked and he shook his head.

"After everything that happened. I told you before, wherever I go, pain and death follows. Damon follows me. I can't have him hurt you, or anyone anymore. I have to leave, I don't have to, I need to," I felt my eyes water as Stefan said that.
