In the short few hours Diana had spent in Narnia, she had developed a small liking and appreciation towards the ocean, and although she still could not wait for the moment they were able to step foot on land once more, she was able to admire its mysterious ambiance.

She observed the way the water would part for the ship, reminding her of the biblical story of Moses parting the sea with the help of God, a story she grew to admire as a result of her Father's influence, a story she no longer wished to admire for the same reasonings. She shook her her at the thought of her Father, determined not to poison the joy of Narnia with recent events.

She turned her attention towards the sky. It appeared to be coloured a shade of blue she had never seen before; clear, vibrant and playful, a delightful difference from the cloud grey drowsiness the the sky over London had to offer.

Caspian's line of sight was almost instantly drawn to the girl as he exited the Captain's cabin. He stood for a few moments observing her; the way her golden hair danced with the wind's gentle breeze, keeping it away from her soft facial features, she way she stared intensely out at the horizon, her brows crossed in thought with her chin resting in the palm of her hand. He soon approached Diana, settling beside her as he cleared his throat.

"Miss Williams," Caspian greeted.

Diana jumped slightly, placing a hand over he chest as she gasped having yet to notice his presence. "Your Majesty," she acknowledged as she turned towards the man, offering him a polite smile.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you."

"It's alright." Diana stated as she turned her gaze back towards the horizon. "Beautiful, isn't it?"

"Yes. Breathtaking, I'd say." he agreed.

They stood in a short lived silence as they admired the view, a silence that Diana had broken when saying, "I'd like to thank you again."

"What for?" Caspian's brows furrowed.

"For all you have done for the Pevensie's and myself today. And Eustace, of course. I really appreciate it. So, thank you."

"I wouldn't have it any other way." he paused, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "You know, you really don't need to say 'thank you' so often. I've only known you for a few hours and I'm under the impression it's one of the only things you're capable of saying."

"There is nothing wrong with showing gratitude, your Majesty." Diana informed.

"Never said there was, I simply stated a fact." he replied, his smile growing at the sound of her light laughter. "Do I amuse you, Miss Williams?"

"You don't have to call me Miss Williams, you know? Diana is just fine. And much simpler."

"Only if you are to call me by my name, then. It's only fair, of course."
