Life on the Dawn Trader had proven to be rather restricting, Diana concluded. The ship had forbade her to explore the lands of the foreign, magical land she had only the pleasure of stepping on once since her arrival and had not been the best experience. Privacy had been extremely rare, as everywhere she turned she would come face to face with a crew member, leaving her with little to no time to think to herself; although she had considered it to be a blessing in disguise as the inability to be on her lonesome meant her thoughts that revolved around her mother and father were constantly interrupted and forgotten, especially in the company of the Pevensie's and the King.

Diana and Caspian often stole glances from one an other whenever they were engaged in work or conversation away from each other.

Caspian would often converse with Drinian regarding the journeys route and the next approach to be taken when stumbling upon an island. As he would do so, he would shamelessly let his eyes travel to Diana any spare chance he had, doing so as best he could without being rude.

Diana and Lucy sat on a makeshift seat near the entrance of the Captain's quatrain as they had taken to mending the wounded clothes of the crew from their previous battle to not only be helpful to the crew, but to help pass the time. The girls conversed in light conversation and as they did so, and every few minutes Lucy would tease the older girl for getting distracted trying to glance towards Caspian, resulting in Diana stitching terribly.

Diana denied this to be her intention of distraction each time and reminded Lucy she had not been blessed with the same ability of sewing, however the blush on her cheek tended to betray her each time she attempted to defend her actions.

As of lately, Diana's attention would gravitate towards Eustace, who often sat crouched behind a few barrels engulfed in his notebook, scribbling away his thoughts and observations regarding the new environment he had entered unwillingly and unexpectedly; this more often than not resulted in Eustace being humiliated and called a 'loon' by the crew for things such as assuming birds were able to speak in a land where the ships crew included a talking mouse and minotaur.

"I wish they would leave him alone." Diana said to Lucy as they watched the encounter. "I know he can be insufferable at times but he's just a boy."

Lucy shrugged. "They're just looking for a laugh. They've been out at sea for too long."

"Still, he's just confused." Diana said as she watched Eustace roll his eyes and continue scribbling away in his notebook.

"Need any help?" Lucy asked, gesturing to the vest in Diana's hand that had been poorly stitched together.

Diana looked towards Lucy's handiwork on her own vest, its wounds from their previous battle now healed from a small needle and thread in only a short amount of time. "I don't know how you do it, Luc." Diana sighed.
