Chapter 16 - Nash POV

I nervously tugged at my tie. Stupid wedding tradition, it's not gonna kill anyone if I see Mel before the wedding. Argh.

"Hey son, you ready to head out. Were about to start" Alpha Adam says, finally. I can't wait to see Mel in her dress. She wouldn't let me see it because it bad luck. I hope she misses me as much as I miss her. Even if it's only been one day.

"Yes let's get this started."

Once I'm finally at the altar I wait impatiently for melody to walk down the aisle. She looks incredible and all I want to do is hold her. Her parents flew up for the wedding with her friend Eden and my best friend Dean. Turns out he is Eden's mate. Melody's father hands her over to me and the priest starts to talk.

'Nash son we have a problem' alpha Adam mind links.

'Can it wait I'm in the middle of getting married' I reply

'No it can't. Your father was here' I feel my face pale. I try to ask him what happened but I can no longer reach him.

Melody POV

I start to walk down the aisle. My friends and family, old and new, are all here looking at me with huge smiles and some with tears of joy, but the only eyes I can focused on are those beautiful blue eyes that belong to Nash and his massive smile.

I smile back at him but he doesn't notice. He is talking to someone through mind link from the look in his eyes. His face pales and fills with worry but before I can ask what happened there is a massive explosion by the altar that knocked everyone close to the ground.

I run over to Nash to see if he's okay. He manages to pick himself up. "Everyone get out of here now. There might be more explosives"

Everyone starts to run and just when I think everyone is fine and its over there are screams coming from outside. Everyone is gathered around something but I can't see what.

Me and Nash push our way through the crowd and what I found was enough to make me throw up.

One of the pack members, Darren, laid dead on the floor ripped to shreds. You could only just see who it was because his head was left alone. "What kind of sick asshole would do this" Nash said beside me.

"You're farther" Alpha Adam said pointing to the writing in blood a few feet away.

It read 'love is weakness. See you in hell son'. God, I can't take this. I push past everyone and run to the bathroom.

Before I get the chance to walk in the bathroom I'm hit across the head with something hard. I black out before I get the chance to scream.
