◌ Chapter 9 ◌

Jealous?

Pfffft. I'm not jealous. Just... Curious? I dunno. It's just not jealous, I know that. Yoonji walked in with a wide smile. Everyone looked at him oddly for the rest of the day.
. . .

Yoonji had started talking on the phone and zoning out more often ever since that day. Also, days came around fast and I was going to graduate early with Kae and Yoonji. The officials say it was because of my good improvement and ids completed enough missed classes already.

Currently, I was being forced to look at dresses with Charlotte for the end-of-the-year dance. She has already shoved me into a dressing room about seven times with at least thirteen dresses. Why couldn't I just skip the dance? It's not like it's going to be the end of the world if I did, plus, I had no one to go with. I refuse ask Yoonji, much less then to go with him.

"Okay! Last one, I promise," Charlotte said.

"Whatever," I mutter.

"I'm serious! This dress is perfect for you! It's the one," Charlotte said, dumping a dress in my hands and pushing me back into a dressing room for the eighth time now.

I sighed and slipping into the final dress. It was black and smooth, flowing out in large wavy ruffles below my knees. I stepped out of the dressing room and Charlotte gasped. "Perfect! I told you so!"

I had to admit, the dress itself was beautiful. Why shouldn't I just go to the dance after all? It might be fun. I'll ask Kae and Daehee to come, since Charlotte has work.
. . .

Graduation day is in three days, so a lot of the girls at school are basically flailing around and panicking. All the students are either wanting to make it a night to remember or a night where they don't embarrass theirselves. I'll try both. My teacher also asked me to do a speech. Honestly, I was nervous and proud at the same time.

Charlotte dropped me off at the boys practice room, saying that today was their day off. I stepped in and met eyes with five people instead of the usual four.

"Jemmy-ah!" Kae shouted, throwing himself on my back. What is up with him and doing that? I laughed anyways, happy to see my best friend.

"The one and only," I say, balancing his weight so I didn't let him drop on his face. Though, it'd be a hilarious sight. Sejoon waved to me and Huanji ruffled my hair annoyingly.

"Aish, this girl! Why haven't you been visiting us?" Huanji scolded playfully, and I found myself laughing more.

"Mianhae! Mianhae! Charlotte made me get ready for graduation and the end-of-the-school-year dance so I had no time to visit, plus you all are busy, too!" I defended myself, swatting his arms away. He chuckled and lead me closer to the mirror.

"I still look good, right?" Huanji said, flexing his exposed biceps under his muscle shirt.

"As good as a cow," I said sweetly. He attacked me with more noogies, Kae remaining on my back while laughing.

"Payback!" Kae said.

"You can't get payback from another payback! That's against the rules!" I whined, until Huanji finally let go.
