Ugh, the other chapter seemed sucky because everything happened really fast, forgive me! The updates are going to be at least 3,000 words a chapter, so they don't seem super short. I'm not sure this one will be the same and all jumbled up or not, so brace yourselves~ >.>
◌ Chapter 2 ◌
What I didn't expect, though, was for us to meet eyes. And get this⎯the way he looked at me, clearly meant he recognised me just as I did with him.
My gaze quickly leaves his, and I, on reflex, hide behind Charlotte. I feel her look at me, mixed traces of confusion and worry on her features. "Jem, what wrong? Come from behind me, I want you meet someone," Lottie said, tugging me in front of her, and I see how great my luck is.
The familiar guy I saw the other day at the alley was walking towards us, with three other in front of him. When he got up closer, I noticed that the fringe and the ends of his hair was dip-dyed red, his skin was milky white, and his eyes were a luscious dark brown. When I noticed I was practically drooling over this guy, I stiffened up.
One guy laughed, I don't know why, unless he saw me⎯ah, you've got to be kidding me. When I finally raised my head, I saw alley-way-guy looking directly at me. Well, that sure set fire to my face. I muttered a nasty word in Vietnamese, and Charlotte looked at me in horror. "Jem!" She gasped, and I wondered why she was being so uptight around these guys.
The guy who laughed arched a brow. "So, I take it her name is Jem?" He asked (I'm pretty sure he said that, at least), and I was quick to reply, "Ne." I squared my shoulders, being sure not embarrass myself again. "My name is Jasmine Ross, but I prefer Jem much more."
Charlotte seemed to be sweating out her skin, and then I noticed the guy from the make-out incident was in the little group. I gave a mischievous grin. "Ah, you! You and Charlotte were⎯" I began, but Charlotte had cupped my mouth. While she was explaining something in Korean, I bit her palm. She squealed mid-sentence, letting me finish my thoughts, "⎯having an extreme makeout session in my living room last night!"
Everyone looked at the guy with ombré brown hair. "Hyung, that's where you were last night?" A young looking boy asked. He blushed. A tall guy with multiple piercings on his ears highfived him. Charlotte looked like she was about to pass out and mouthed I'm sorry to her make-out buddy, and shot daggers at me. I smile innocently.
"Ah, excuse us. We never introduced ourselves. I'm Ahn Huanji," the guy with piercings said, and bowed his head. Make-out buddy guy said he was Park Sejoon, guy I met the other day said he was Xian Yoonji, and the young one was Eun Kae In. I smiled and did an awkward bow. "I'm still Jem." Apparently, they were in a trainee group called HEROZ.
They offered to take us out for lunch, which we politely declined, saying we had to go to a photoshoot in a few minutes. We made our way to a floor, and while in the elevator, Charlotte almost clawed my face off. It was awfully hilarious attempts.
As soon as the elevator opened, I shot out and explored. Charlotte swiftly changed into her clothes and was getting her makeup done. I wandered aimlessly. I actually ended up on a completely different floor, one where I herd a lot of music. I walked down the hall, and ended up going into an empty room. I knew I shouldn't have, but I couldn't deny my curiosity. It was killing me just staring at the door. So I did what any normal person would, and walked in.
An unbelievably large, glass mirror replaced two walls. Music was still playing, and it had a nice beat. So again, I did what a normal person would do. I danced.
I had a few slides, seductive body movement, hip thrusts, and turns. The song just kinda spoke to me, like any music would. When the song was cut off, I noticed my were eyes closed. They fluttered open, and I stared at my reflection. And four others, too. Kae, Sejoon, Yoonji, and Huanji were behind me, smirking at that. My face felt like I'd jumped into an active volcano.
