Night had fallen upon Couruscant when Emi Takori and Kit Fisto emerged from Dexter's diner, the former stumbling in the process. Their evening together had escalated further than they anticipated; after the Jawa juice, Emi had found herself craving something to really take her mind off of her struggles with the order. So they had turned to something alcoholic. Jedi were not supposed to consume such beverages, but the duo made an exception.

After one drink, Emi was laughing hard about her previous missions, her former master's scolds and from others as if she had forgotten all about how much she missed Plo Koon and hated how the Council was grounding her. Pretty soon she was addicted and left the diner intoxicated with Kit struggling to keep her walking.

"I told you not to have too much, damn Emi!" Kit laughed as he grasped her left arm over his shoulder.

Emi was still laughing, "Oh Kit, did I ever tell you how much I love you? No no no! Certainly not! Perhaps I should say it right here, right now!" her speech was slurred.

Perplexed, Kit blushed and realized the alcohol had also made her crazy too, "Alright princess, that's enough, you're not going back to the temple like this! Let's get you back to your apartment and you're not walking either!" even though his words seemed firm, he still maintained his smile and scooped Emi up into his arms and hailed the nearest cab.

Emi gazed into Kit's alien eyes the moment he lifted her off the ground. He always had beautiful eyes to her, wide and fish-like, she had always liked his species for their ability to breathe underwater and their kindness to such creatures of the deep.

The cab arrived from above with its yellow skin making it easy to spot within the thousands of other speeders in the city's sky. It was piloted by a young human boy probably just needing a job to save up for his future, "Where to?" he asked,

Emi opened her mouth but Kit quickly cut her off, giving the boy the address to Emi's apartment as they climbed into the cab and Kit glared at a nearby Rodian who seemed to be watching them as the door close and they took off into the city once again.

Emi had stopped giggling and smiling, now she was beginning to feel rather tired with her speech beginning to slur, "Kit, can we do this again?" she murmured,

He had temporarily set her down on the cab seat and now she was resting her head on his shoulder and he turned red, Jeez Emi, what have you been up to since I've been away besides tagging along with Plo? He thought as their driver spoke again,

"Never got Jedi needing transportation before, and certainly not a drunk one, a drunk hot one,"

Kit scowled and wave his left hand in front of him, "You will mind your own business,"

Like in a trance, the boy suddenly snapped and repeated Kit's words, "I will mind my own business,"

Kit continued, putting his other arm around Emi, "You want to think with your brain and not what's between your legs,"

"I want to think with my brain and not what's between my legs."

Then he shut up, Kit was relieved that the mind tricks never let him or any Jedi down. Then, he realized his arm was around Emi and he blushed again. Damn it Kit, you were so worried that Emi and Plo might be seeing each other and now look at what you got yourself into! But wait, what if I do like her, we've been through a lot together, I know her better than anyone.

He looked at her again to discover that she had fallen asleep next to him in the cab, her eyes shut and oblivious to his touch. Whatever time it was, Kit believed it was past the time he predicted she slept.

The cab soon pulled up to building and Kit pulled out the credits to pay the driver, giving him a warning look before carrying Emi out and toward the entrance. The building was sky-high with over twenty floors and looked like it was made entirely out of glass. Kit always wondered how Emi managed to get an apartment here when she came to Couruscant with no credits at all. When you came to start Jedi training, most of your belongings you left behind, so Kit remained confused about this reality, but did not let it distract him as he carried Emi inside and took the elevator up to her floor.
