"Ate Kori! Did you saw my necklace?"

"Which one?"

"The butterfly, it's golden!"

"I think it's with ate Tia yesterday."

"Thanks ate! I'll be right back."

I heard the door slam as I lay down in bed. They are going to the mall today. Sila lang dahil napagod ako, I didn't barely slept last night dahil sa pagod at takot.

Who is that guy and why is he staring at me?

My moment was disturbed when Jemima is calling. I answered it with wide smiles.

"Hello Jemi, how are you at New York?"

My smile faded when I saw her under eyes. It's black and  her nose is red. I panicked a little dahil hindi siya nagsasalita.

[Kori.] Nahihina siyang wika. Naawa na ako sa kanya, what happened to her? May sumakit ba sa kanya? may nangyari ba na hindi ko alam? Naalarma na ako at kinuha ang aking slice ng pizza sa gilid, this is my stress reliver.

"Jemi, anong nagyari?" Malumay kong wika. I don't want her to worry now.

"Jemi! ano bang sinasabi mong impakta ka!"

Pagaaral ko sa kanya, pero nataranta ako noong nakita ko ang tumakas na luha sa kanyang mata at mabilis niya itong pinahid at palinga linga na parang may hinahap siya. Lalong kumunot ang noo kung noong nakita ko ang kanyang background. It's black!
