Chapter 6

Still part of the flashback

Today is our first day of researching since we both agree to do the research and presentation in our first week and on the second week we will try making the dish that we have picked.

I'm currently waiting at our meeting place, we both also agree that we'll meet first before we decide on where we are going to do our research.

I'm on my high waist shorts and oversized shirt printed with rainbow in the middle, but seeing her wearing a dress makes me feel like I'm underdressed. Habang naglalakad siya papunta sa kung saan ako nakapwesto feeling ko ay wala ng iba pang tao sa paligid namin.

Sobrang ganda niya to the point na sa kaniya lang naka-focus yung atensyon ko. Makulimlim ang langit pero habang naglalakad siya palapit sa akin feeling ko'y napakaliwanag ng paligid.

"Good morning, napag-antay ba kita ng matagal?" sa sobrang tulala ko sa kaniya hindi ko man lang napansin na nasa harap ko na siya.

"Ahm, hindi naman. K-kararating ko lang din." mautal-utal na sabi ko habang nagkakamot sa pisngi ko sa sobrang hiya.

Napatango siya habang nagpipigil ng ngiti, "So saan tayo pupunta ngayon? Your place or mine?" sabay lahad ng kamay niya para mahatak niya ako patayo since nakaupo ako sa lapag dahil walang ibang pwedeng maupuan.

"You decide, I'm fine whenever you want." kibit balikat kong sabi saka kumapit sa kamay niya at tumayo, mabilis din akong bumitiw sa kamay niya dahil sa kuryenteng naramdaman kong dumaloy sa katawan ko.

That tingling sensation is new to me, only I felt that with her. The butterflies on my stomach won't even stop and it's driving me crazy knowing that I'll be feeling that all day.

"Then, let's go to my place first. We'll go to yours when we're going to practice our chosen dish, you okay with that?" nakangiting saad niya.

Tumango ako saka naglakad na paalis, "May dala ka bang kotse?" tanong ko sa kaniya.

"Yes, how 'bout you?" taas kilay niyang tanong pabalik.

"Wala, nag- commute lang ako eh." kamot pisngi kong sabi habang namumula pa ang mukha sa sobrang hiya, hindi ko talaga mapigilan ang hiya ko sa kaniya.

I don't know what got her mad but I noticed her face darken as a dark aura surrounds her. Tumingin siya ng matalim sa akin, "Nag-commute ka while wearing that?" saka niya ako tinignan mula paa hanggang ulo at pabalik, nothing's really wrong with my outfit pero sa paraan ng pagsasalita niya ay parang sobrang mali na ganto yung suot ko, "No offense meant since you look so hot and gorgeous in that outfit but you really have the guts to ride a public vehicle while exposing your legs?" kung hindi ko lang alam na hindi niya gugustuhin ang isang katulad ko siguro naisip ko na agad na nagseselos siya.

"Sanay naman akong nakaganto kaya hindi na big deal sa akin yung gantong pananamit, at isa pa wala namang magagalit." sabi ko sa kaniya sabay kindat at dumiretso sa kotse niya pagkakita ko rito.

Don't ask me, I've been stalking her so I know what type of car she have and even the plate number. I leaned on the hood of her car and wait for her to open the door.

"How'd you know that this is my car?" taas kilay na tanong niya ulet saka niya binuksan ang pinto.

"Sikretong malupet!" I said playfully as I fasten my seatbelt.

"You're stalking me, aren't you?" pagsakay niya sa pang-aasar ko habang nagtataas-baba pa ang kilay niya.

Nagkunwari akong nagulat habang may pahawak pa sa dibdib ko at paglaki ng mata, though it's true but I won't let her know that, "Hala! Pano mo nalaman? That was supposed to be a secret."

"See? I got you," and with that we burst out laughing, "hahaha that was hilarious. Didn't know that I'll be comfortable around you." she said with a smile.

I shrugged, "Well at least now you know, you can hangout with me more often to get to know me more."

Hindi man halata pero natatawa ako sa mga sinabi ko, a better way of pangbubugaw. She won't understand my motive unless she knew my feelings for her.

As we drive to her place we talk nonstop and ask each other about nonsense things. It turns out like we are answering a slum book because of the questions we both asked, it's about our favorites and basic infos.

"So, have you been in love? Or are you currently in love?" she asked so suddenly that it shocked.

"You're interested, huh? Tell me, are you interested with me?" I make it sound so playful though I really wanna know the answer.

"So what if I am? Wala namang magagalit 'diba?" taas kilay niyang tanong.

"Technically wala, but how I wish na magalit siya pag nalaman niyang may nagkakainteres sakin." hope is evident in my eyes and as I look at her she suddenly look so serious and I can see some emotion in her eyes that I can't name.

"Edi in love ka nga? With whom?" para siyang bumalik sa dati na walang paki sa paligid, parang hindi kami nagkatawanan kani-kanina lang.

"I am, but sadly she doesn't know about me." I put on a sad face not to make it obvious that she's the one I'm talking about.

"She? You're a lesbian?" confusion is written all over her face.

"I'm not, I'm a bisexual but right now I'm focused and so attracted to her that I'm not giving shits to anyone else." I explained.

I'm expecting her to throw me out of her car but minutes have passed yet there is still no signs of it.
Not everyone can understand me, or us who's part of the LGBTQ and not everyone accepts us. But most importantly, I don't care about everyone as long as my friends and family accepts me then I'm fine. I don't need anyone's judgment about my sexuality.

She seems so deep in thought and since it looks like our destination is yet to be near I chose to just sleep since I don't have enough sleep last night because of too much excitement, and with that I close my eyes and let the music from the radio serenade me to sleep.
