After taking a quick shower to wake me up and get rid of any drowsiness. I get dressed in Autumn appropriate apparel, and retrieve my car and house keys from the clay dish that was on the wooden table near the front door, placing them in my bag. Stepping outside into the unoccupied hallway, and closing the door behind me I stretch my arms and back. No one else was out, so that meant I won't be seeing any of my neighbors today.

Shame, I thought it would be nice to meet the other residents that live here.

Clutching onto my bag, I walk down the stairwell at the end of the hallway and make my way past the front desk.

"Excuse me? Miss!" I hear a voice call out before I start to push open the entrance door. Thinking she was speaking to me, I turn around and I see a lady perhaps in her mid 50's with short brown curly hair running up to me.

The clacking of her heels against the tile floor emanated through out the lobby. For a shabby place like this I'm surprised when I see her wearing such professional clothing. I slowly let the door close, and when the lady reaches me she greets me with a warm smile.

"Why hello deary you must be the new resident. guessing by the fact that I have never seen you before, but if not I'm terribly sorry."

"No your fine. Hello I'm Annika, I technically moved in around 5 months ago." I greet the kind women reaching my hand out which she gladly accepts.

"My pleasure Annika I'm Margaret and I'm the manager that also happens to work at the front desk."

"Oh ok."

"I'm sorry for bothering, I hope your not in a hurry I just wanted Introduce myself."

"No need to apologize, it was nice meeting you."

Finally exiting the building, and getting to my car. I take note of the wonderful breeze and weather we were having this afternoon. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and it was one of the reasons I loved this place so much. The weather was usually perfect, not to cold nor to hot, and not to mention the lack of cars driving around and crowds of people walking on the sidewalk was also a plus.

You wouldn't see huge amounts of people on the streets until you reached downtown. That's were the fun is at, so logically it would bring the crowds as well.

With the sun starting to set it made the sky glow a beautiful orange red color. It was something someone from instagram would take a picture of, but you never realized how beautiful it really is till' you see it with your own two eyes.

I drove an old 1955 Chevrolet Sedan, that I found of the Internet. I personally loved classic cars like these, but It stood out like a sore thumb in the parking lot. It was almost impossible to miss, and you would wonder who would ever drive that car since the exterior was in desperate need of a repainting.

I check my phone. It was almost 6:00, but I'm confident that I could still make it on time.

That is if my car decided to be compliant today, and not break down.

I feel my shoulders relax, as I try to open the car door. But after a few failed attempts of doing so, I try tugging the keys out, but they wouldn't, they were lodged in there.

Come on you damned thing

"You having trouble there?" asked a boy, whose voice was both gentle and prim - a voice that, though soft, manufactured each word exactly.

"No, I'm fine." I huff, blowing a lone strand of hair that happened to land on face. Frustration getting the best of me, I groan and kick the door to my old car probably leaving one of the many dents in its door frame.
