Tris' POV
I sit next to Uriah, who is still unconscious.
Tobias drives down the deserted road. Christina is sleeping on the seat next to me.
We have to go back to the Bureau. But, I don't think we can trust anyone anymore. Peter gave us a horrible destination. We don't know anything about Ray. I don't think I can trust Caleb again after he betrayed me. Again. But, what if he didn't have anything to do with this? What if he hoped we'd be safe?
Can we go back to our home? To Dauntless? Or has it been destroyed? Did Evelyn take over? What the heck is going on?
Tobias drives quickly. The roads are not paved well, so the ride is bumpy.
"What if we go home?" I suggest.
"I don't think we can. We aren't welcome," Tobias replies.
"That's true. We have too much cognizance about the outside world."
"We barely have any! We didn't know that cannibals would try to eat us. We didn't know that......Uriah...would get...shot!" Christina says. Her tear streaks cover her face. Her face is the color of Amity red. She hasn't spoken since the accident.
"We need to go back then. There is a hospital there. They can help," Tobias says calmly.
"How do you know there is a hospital?" Christina asks.
"I...uh...have passed by it a couple times."
Christina shakes her head reluctantly.
"Do you not want to go back?" I ask.
"No, not really. I think you're both right. How can we trust them again?" she answers.
"We won't. We will leave as soon as Uriah is better. We will find a home," Tobias says. I nod agreement.
